I want to know if you're prepared to stay up all night watching the moon or wake up in the early hours to greet the sun rise.
It doesn't interest me what you want from me, I want to know if you're prepared to give and receive in equal measure and not allow those who abuse you change who you are.
It doesn't interest me if you remember my birthday, I want to know if you're prepared to stand by me whatever the consequence.
I want to know if you can accept when life doesn't always work out the way we plan and still maintain your enthusiasm.
It doesn't interest me how great a scholar or how well read you are, I want to know if you'll allow me to read between the lines and share the essence of you.
I want to know if your light still burns brightly despite the floods of tears and insensitive feet that have threatened to extinguish it.
It doesn't interest me if others have turned their backs on you, I want to know if you know your worth and are willing to care about me the way I care about you.
