Friday, another day, the same, but different. Today, grey looms in the midday sky, and the birds have flown south. A sadness fills my heart. As winter approaches cold and darkness have arrived, and the solstice seems here, way too soon. But tonight again the moon and stars will speak to me, reminding me to take stock of this year’s grief, pain, laughter and love. Nature goes to sleep yet, in its dying, it reminds that life is precious and our time for inward journey has begun. The morning sun has shifted and so do we, revealing what must die if we are to live, from within, so we know the warmth of inner light, despite the sting of October elements. I grieve and cry every reason why hurt and heartache have visited. I admit where I went wrong, where I went right. Then love and laughter soothe me, and I know what must change; life reframed, freed from pain. ~© JDS 10/16/2009~
