Just mailed out a bunch of brochures to around 10 companies, have a list of more companies we have to mail to. We will be keeping the post office in business with the stamps lol.
A realtor contacted me tonight, he knows we are interested in finding a home, we are just not sure we are ready to buy yet even 'though we would love to move. Well....I just started my job, I've been on it a whole 3 weeks, plus we have our night job pending, that is, if we get clients for it, if we do, then we can get an even nicer house, have more money coming in of course. He was suggesting Colchester, it is a woodsy area but very nice, just not sure how far a commute in the winter since I work 2 towns away from where we live, well...we both do. It might not be bad if the highway is close by and I get snow tires. I would love to live in the country.
We got something left at our door this evening about what has been going on around our condo complex, it seems that the maintenance people, grounds people have been looking in people's windows, talk about feeling like we are living in a prison state, ugh. At least we are on the top floor. The maintenance guy does not have a contract to work here, nor insurance. I don't know what's going to happen, if the new management company will keep him or not. No residents of this complex are happy living here, why so many are moving. I don't blame them. I would give anything not to have to pay condo fees and have the freedom to put in a washer dryer and dishwasher, we are not allowed to. It's not as bad as other condo complexes, I was told by one of my neighbors that a complex not too far from us, all the peoples windows are permanently shut, they are unable to open them, I would think that is against the fire codes. We are glad we are not living there. Can you imagine in the summertime how hot those units would be?
Anyways, in another week I will phone back those companies we mailed the brochures to, see if there is any interest. We are hoping the economy picks up soon.

Don't know if you have tried this but how about offering your services to real estate companies for houses for sale or rent?

Sounds ambitious...New Job..Starting a new business entity (albeit we don't know what that business is ????) and then thinking about buying a house....R U so sure that you need to make a move now??? Properties are at a all time low, no doubt..but the banking people are going to look at solidarity in employment, meaning how long on the job..and how much equity your able to fork over. Then again..some small businesses, inadvertenly git bankers to become their clients depending on your idea(s)....most important, if you elucidate to your banker that you've started a new business, the obvious query is:. How much are you investing in that new business up front..etc.meaning what are the tentacles of your disposable income..

Our bank knows about our new business, it is a commercial cleaning business. We have also been preapproved for a loan to buy a house. I'm just debatting whether to wait 'til I have more money coming in between the two jobs, or get one now when the prices are lower.
