Just because I can’t see the fairy dust anymore, doesn’t mean I can’t have hope & dreams.
Granted, they are not the same visions I had as a child, like being a famous film star, or a mermaid even. Those things you expect to just happen to you. After waiting for many years, they never did. I didn’t think to go to Stage School and study, and there won’t ever be any signs of me growing a tail; the only way I am ever going resemble a fish is to get legless on alcohol.
I had waited and waited as a child, but the sugarplum fairy never showed up with her magic wand and she sure as hell isn’t going to come now. So you see, patience doesn’t enter this particular equation. It’s not ever going to occur if I sit and wait, I have to make it happen. Anything that’s worth doing, is worth doing well, and all good things require thoughtful and careful planning.
Then I embarked on a 12 step programme to help me in my mourning of Her, and to dispel any psychological damage instilled by this non existent fairy Godmother. Then one day, when I grew up, I realised, I can only get out what I put in. I worked hard and became an Engineer with great ambitions and a sense of adventure. I wanted to see the world and my life began as I travelled to all those places I wanted to see, meeting those people I wanted to meet, experiencing those cultures and savouring all the different flavours. My existence was a lot more colourful, I gained a wealth of experience and it gave me hope.
So just because I can’t see the fairy dust anymore, doesn’t mean I can’t have hope and dreams. These dreams I have are real, they are about my survival and my journey to my destination.

Im quite strange.. (I knew you'd agree) 
Strange because I didnt have hopes and dreams until I was an adult.. I was very happy go lucky as a kid.. didnt really plan or hope for anything.
Looking back I wish I had.

I always have hopes and dreams; and I've found that even if they don't come to fruition, keeping myself focused on them allows me to move toward whatever I'm meant to get closer to. 
No hopes and dreams can only lead to stagnation.

The problem with fairy dust, is that it is always there. We just can't see it when everything is covered with dust, and the windows are closed. No evidence of the dust,,, so no dust.
Sometimes,,, the best way to see the dust,,, is to do a housecleaning. Picking up the bits that are important,,, giving them a little dust off,,,, and tossing the bits that have we have deemed to be clutter. Whipe off the tops,,, open the curtains,,, let the sun pour in,,,, and the fairy dust becomes evident again.
Just like the snow globe on the mantle,,, you have to shake it up to get the full effect.

I was cast as a tree whilst at Stage School.
I became cynical and bitter when someone pissed on my leg...however...I did learn compassion for the trees in the park.

Dreams and hope are only things you haven't accomplish at the moment, the fairy dust in reality are the things that stop us because they aren't real.

Fairy dust .. ahh yes it can be found everywhere if you just look at things through the eyes of a child... ya still got your child eyes right Choosey?/ I know I have mine.. takes a bit to refocus them but they still work and ohhh the wonders you can see with them...never misplace those eyes .. they will keep you young and full of hopes and dreams
