Well...seems like the regular ole people who are not important citizens do NOT have their police reports actually written down....(aww come on now...not bitter are ya?)  
yep,,,bitter, agravated, pissed-off, and tired of being the only one to report frequently stuff...thus being a target for more..."vandelism"...or being the "little ole woman crying wolf" attitude from the local police....
and me...who actually graduated from the 5th class of CPA..Citizens Police Academy.. and thought I was now a "part" of the community...with pride...a teacher of our "put-down and ignored but actually blessed special ed needs kids"..
but I have not overcome the ONE thing that counts the most in a small, historic community.... I WAS NOT BORN HERE..NOR HAVE KNOWN RELATIVES TO MAKE ME ONE OF THE CLICK!
Outsider! Intruder! ...that is now that I stood up for kids who needed me...and have been "branded"....ostricised as it is...
The police have been called once more...when they are through with the funeral procession they will "try" to come by and take a report...
How nice of them...but wait..nothing was taken so it must not be very important...so will the officer who comes(hope it is not the one that came before ..who didn't even write anything down I was telling him....and the grapevine said he said "She has so much stuff on her porch she wouldn't know if anything was missing or not!")
What?    
This time I was holding my dog in my lap watching my soap when I heard the gate open....she barked and jumped down...I yelled out "Catch Baby " to my bodyguard and he did.
Sure enough..the gate was standing wide open...opened out toward the street...AND the purple clasp that is kept in the hole on the "U-shaped hinge" that allows the gate to be opened....was GONE!
On the front porch was evidence of someone stepping in fresh canned dogfood that was dumped out of the bowl and stamped around the porch...also showing where it seemed to be scrapped off..
The 12 lb dog didn't do it...I didn't do it...Bill didn't do it...so how did it appear like that???  
This was at 12:00...noon!
Broad daylight!
Both vehicles in the drive!
Door open to house and both adults in a 10 ft distance from the porch!
AND even wet print was inside the door on the carpet!
Now that is SCARY! Brazen!
I put leash on Baby and went around the block and alley to see if the "link" had been discarded...nope...didn't see it.... 
Otherwise...all is quite here...just "retiring" and procrastinating on everything...
Ya think they will write down that a young, not skinny, hispanic man with a full head of hair not cropped short, who wears all black, and has been seen by my neighbor several times in my yard snooping around my storage/workshop in my back yard, and it is always between the hours of 11:30 am to 1 pm , and he comes from the alley behind the church across the street form me, and he may work in a business on the main drag which is only 2 blocks north of me, and he may be on his "lunch break" scoping out his next...."venture"?
Nawwwww....that is too much information...I will probably be accused of watching too much detective/crime stories on tv, plus have an over-active imagination....ya know since I blog and all.... 
Oh well...will blog an update AFTER they come....surely they will come...won't they?

well a different officer came to take a report...I gave him all the "details" and he took my name and phone number...
He said it doesn't matter if I do have junk on my porch...."It's your junk!"
 yep!
and the trespasser came 3 ft into the house also...wet dogfood prints were on the carpet! 
sooooo....we'll see!

Even though I live in quite a safe city, & a "nicer" neighborhood, we still keep our doors locked even if we're home. If things done "in broad daylight" are scaring you, you may want to think about making it harder for them to 'make themselves comfy.

Buy a handgun........When he steps inside your home, shoot him. If he makes it out of your home and maybe into the yard, drag him back inside, put a TV or radio in one hand and a knife in the other.........Then call the cops.
Problem solved.........and one less criminal in the world.

Take the initiative.
Arm yourself.
Harbor Freight tools has a day/night video camera, for $40, that will feed int a VHS recorder. Take videos of him. Take still pics too!
A plain spotlight sensor will also turn on a valve from an old washing machine, that will in turn, turn on the sprinkling system of the sensed area, dousing him..
Screw with the intruder! Set him up! Make him afraid of you!
Put the game on him!
