I have wondered about words. Our thought processes stem from them. The more words we know, the greater is our ability to construct our thoughts creatively. A person might only know the one word "red" to define the color yet in his mind he can see the full range of colors including rubine, scarlet,orange/red or burgundy. Without words to describe the various shades and hues he can not communicate his thoughts to any other person.
I have then considered that there are men and women with great depths of feeling but who are completely unable to communicate in words what those feelings are. Although I am handy with words and most assuredly more skilled in this art, it does not mean that my feelings are greater or more significant than someone else's
People consider me intelligent, but the fact is that I merely have a good vocabulary. I have met many completely uneducated people who are clearly smarter than I am. Likewise I have met a great many scholarly, so called intellects who are barely more intelligent than the proverbial "village idiot" Unfortunately many of these occupy the positions in colleges and universities where they teach the unwary to be just as intelligent as they are. Our political offices seem filled with this type individual as well, where they write laws almost completely contrary to the will or needs of the people and most certainly devoid of any semblance of common sense. The problem with common sense is that it is not very common.

It is true that sales people can be eloquent just as politicians are. The difference is that with the salesperson you usually walk away with a tangible product or service. With the politician you will usually receive an invoice (in the form of some new tax) and someone else will receive a token product while big business will receive the profit. America has the best politicians money can buy!

politicians are even given speech lessons and taught which words to emphasis to gain the best effect.... and much more im sure
