The sun never showed itself at all today. In fact, it was raining when I woke up this morning, and it's raining now.....and everything in between has been rain....nonstop. Furthermore, this rain is supposed to turn into snow tomorrow.....again.
Guess what? For a change, I do not even care! At this time, I wouldn't even care if I received ten feet of the white stuff! Bring it on! I can handle it!
Back in June, I wrote a few blogs about what was going on with my daughter. The Doctors determined that she had a Septic Left Hip. They never could figure out WHY or HOW a young woman her age could have this, because the bacteria never did rear its ugly head to show the Infectious Disease Center exactly what bacteria had caused this.
Well, a few months ago, when at a follow-up appointment, her Doctor noticed upon seeing her that her thyroid looked HUGE. My daughter has been taking thyroid medication for a few years now, but she is bad. She took them when she remembered to. Of course, her Doctor wanted this all checked out. She was sent to a Specialist, and he determined that, indeed, her thyroid IS huge, ran some tests and determined that she had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I had never heard of this in my life, I have to tell you. Here's a little bit of what it's all about from the Mayo Clinic.
Your immune system's role Normally, your immune system uses naturally occurring proteins (antibodies) and white blood cells (lymphocytes) to help protect against viruses, bacteria and foreign substances (antigens) that invade your body. Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disorder in which your immune system creates antibodies that damage your thyroid gland. The disease causes inflammation of your thyroid gland (thyroiditis), which may impair the ability of your thyroid to produce hormones, leading to an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). Then, your pituitary gland attempts to stimulate your thyroid gland to produce more thyroid hormones, thus causing your thyroid gland to enlarge (goiter).
So....the next step was to set her up for an ultra sound. She had this last week. He found four spots on her thyroid and inserted a needle in three different places for a biopsy. He told her that three of those spots had no consistency, but he was really worried about the fourth. Mentioning that he was doing this same job for about thirty years, he felt quite certain that the fourth spot, because it had some substance to it, was a malignant tumor. He told her, however, that he would have it checked out to be absolutely certain about it. The Doctor also told her that if it comes back as 'suspect', he would just concentrate on the one spot and get rid of that. But....if it should come back as 'cancerous', he would remove her thyroid altogether.
Needless to say, I have been, once again, pacing the floors for news of the outcome of these tests. My daughter called me just shortly before leaving from work today. I sat down to brace myself when she told me that the Doctor called with the results of those tests..........
She said, "I just got the results, Mommy." I held my breath until I certainly must have been blue, unable to speak and eyes clenched tightly shut. I think it must have been about ten minutes, at least, before she finally said, "I don't have cancer, Mommy! It came back benign......" I sank right into that chair, and before I left work today.....I'm sure the entire neighborhood knew that my daughter's tests came out just wonderful. She does have to go again in another eight months to be checked again.....but TODAY! is a glorious day.
Our GOD IS an awesome GOD!
News Update.....My daughter just called me to inform me that the two schools my grandchildren attend have been closed for the rest of the week because of the flu virus. There have been several confirmed cases of the Swine Flu in their area of Michigan. My granddaughter is ill with SOMEthing, and my daughter just can not afford to get ill right now.....at all.
Have a Blessed evening. I know I will.

I'm so thrilled for you AND your daughter. That is the best news a mom could hear. I have a friend who had her thyroid removed and she is doing great, but has a funny scar on her neck right above the sternum that looks like an additional smile. She was cancerfree also.

doll tell her to try this: everyday for 15mins, visualize a white light entering your body through the top of your head and filtering through your whole body. this is how quantum healing works, in time it heals every cell.
