We live in a cynical world, and in order to change that we have to question the way things are perceived. In doing so we must constantly defend our right to challenge the seemingly unquestionable.

There is an elementary need to know, even when we’ve just been told the moon is round. Yet who is to say the moon isn’t a flat disc of light projected from another planet waiting for the players from shadow theatre to show up, and we are just the audience?

What if The Holy Bible was only meant to be an insipid novel, and not to be taken so seriously? Only then could we see the effects and damage someone’s words have done unintentionally. Of course, it may have been intentional to cause Holy wars and those authors would have been laughing all the way to the bank. Maybe it was the greatest ever concept for a best selling book strategy, spinning the ultimate all time yarn.

Only it has been questioned, time and time again and I am sure that if there were flaws, book sales would have diminished by now.

I question The Bible, but it’s not a method of trying to discredit it at all, it's my need to know and understand. It’s the people who don’t ask questions who should be worried, because if everyone was like them, the world would still be flat.

"it's my need to know and understand" Cheers to you
I know the feeling.
I know that time and space are eternal. After all, time does not stop, and space?well what would be there, a cement wall?
What if you knew only one thing, and what you knew was that you did not know anything???

Definitely we need to question.. for when we are questioning we are ready to receive. without questioning we do not learn.

I certainly am not all knowing the bible, .... But I do feel that the bible is a gateway. a start to growth.... and there are lessons for all of us within it...

We will not all see the same lessons, if we study the same passages over and over, we will learn many lessons... in our own unique way...

To learn how to think so that we can improve our lives. the bible presents a huge opportunity.

Definitely a worthwhile read...

Salvation is a personal journey for each man or woman to sort it out for him or herself.

Each individual has his or her own unique filter system in which he or she intakes the world and experiences.

It is a shame that many individuals try to place his or her perception of the bible or his or her beliefs on another individual. When the receiving individual does not accept those beliefs then he or she is condemned. This is clearly wrong, in my opinion.

We should always ask questions and keep critical thinking skills intact.

One must research for his or herself.

Choice is ours and the ability to think for ourselves as individuals is also ours.

Excellent Blog and Thought Provoking!

My little Choosey .. ya sure we are not related?? I too question EVERYTHING...mostly myself.. and I will forever do so. for to question and LISTEN to the answers and understand them is to learn...even if we do not understand them we are still learning.. and if life is not about learning what is it all for??

The need to know is in all of us ... unfortunately the ability to use words in clear communication isn't. We can continue to ask questions but if the answers we keep getting still leave us wanting, do we actually have our answer or do we need to look elsewhere for it?
