The Problem,,,
When I sit,
I lay down my sword,
my shield on the ground,
and the blood of my enemies,
and the blood from my wounds,
dries and flakes off.
My mind clears,
the battle lulled,
and I breath deep,
I breathe slowly,
but your head,
is not on my chest.
I try to think,
only of myself,
but myself is just,
myself, alone,
cold and quiet are
refreshing but painful.
The quiet it thrusts,
and a new wound,
gapes upon my heart,
which can not be bound,
by even 700 pounds of linen,
but only by your sigh.
I am unworthy,
to feel the peace,
a warrior cursed,
to ride to battle,
or wait and be consumed,
by the greatest enemy.
he is powerful,
he strikes to my heart,
he is crafty,
he strikes when I'm defenseless,
and only a sigh,
can drive him from my soul.
