Well, today I met what I believe to be a new friend. It went seemingly well and we first had a soda and then went for a walk. I met him on a different site. I didn't really feel that "spark" but that's ok!

At one point... I asked this man how many times he had been married. He turned to me and smiled and had a weird look in his eye.

It turns out that he has been married 6 times! YES, I must admit, there was a red flag there, waving at me.... but when I asked more about it all.... it does make more sense since he has had issues with his mom and stepmom throughout his life, and HE sees now that - that one factor has played a big part in his failed relationships..

He clearly states that he NEVER wants to marry again (not that I blame him) but that he is lonely and would love to have a friend to just go to movies with and dinner with. So I said that since he is not asking for more from me. it sounds like fun.

Anyway we had a good time, and plan to hang out again sometime. NO pressure or anything.

Just wanted to share!!!!!!!!

Oh, NOW I get to go once again to the Arts Kitchen Haunted House and get madeup for the cript keeper again!!!!!!!! LOL

What a day!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always nice having male friends to hang out with.

I've only been on 2 haunted hayrides, one was alot of fun, scary 'though lol. A guy came after me with a live chain saw, I was running around my ex hubby lol. Then I went to go inside a building and someone dropped this large black spider and I screamed not to forget the guy crawling in the dark on the floor in the building towards my ankles lol. After I left there my knees were shaking lol.

Sounds like you are going to have some fun tonight.

Yep, that is about all I can handle anymore is friends. One man wanted to meet me at Texas RenFaire and I insisted it not be a date and he cancelled. Fine! Good to know he was lying in his profile. Said he wanted someone to do things with. Hah!

My ex-fiancee left me for a retired cop that had been married 6 times - and she decided to become #7!

Last time I saw her, she wasn't wearing the ring, and so I couldn't help but to (politely) comment, and she wouldn't say anything.

She used to call me about stupid little things, but I haven't heard a peep out of her since (for over 2 months now!)

Way I see it: she left me for somebody she thought was better, so more power to her.

I never could understand why anybody would marry more than twice.....maybe three times at the most......but hey......who am i to judge......as long as its not me ........why should i care.......it sure makes for great reading.......i once dated a woman who had been married five times......didnt know it till she told me......started to ask questions as to why.......and boy did i get some strange answers.......but that was long ago.....and shes not around anymore.......but i do remember the last thing i said to her......that she reminded me of my ex....by her way of thinking......no harm....no foul....as far as i was concerned.....bottom line to all of this.....ask questions and find out why.......im glad that i did.........cookie

Yes, when a first meeting happens and it doesn't work to what you want,it's a meet.

It good that you were honest with him and that you can still be friends.
