The inscription was on a sign which reads "All Women are Psychos (but some just hide it better than others)"

"Fat People" You ever notice how dating sites tend to avoid the term? They use "BBW", "a few extra pounds", "slightly overweight", "large", "I could lose a few", but so far I have never seen them use the word "fat".

Soooooo, last week I was surprised to see a sign which said "Fat People are Harder to Kidnap". It made me chuckle.

I was about to paint up a bunch of novelty signs to ship out to an Estes Park, Colorado gift shop so I added that one to my list of sayings and lettered it on one of the blank signs I had already prepared. Then I hand-lettered the others including:

"A good horse thoroughly broke is worth a considerable sum, but a good man thoroughly broke ain't worth a red cent."

"Life is too short to drink bad wine"

"Official Grandparents (licensed to spoil)"

"Whales Save Us"

"What happens at the cabin stays at the cabin"

"Welcome to Grandma's (save the drama for your Mama)"

"Friends Welcome (Family by appointment)"

"Home of one sweet lady and one cranky old goat"

"Home of a FISHERMAN (and the catch of his life)"

And many others which I can not recall (or won't admit to)

Selling personalized license plates (Car Tags) at craft fairs is one part of my routines during the spring and fall. This product may seem foreign to those of you who live in states requiring a license plate on the front and back of your car. Many states require only one tag on the rear. Once I set up my concession I can't stand just sitting around waiting for people to buy them so I have always got some other project to work on during the slack times. I enjoyed lettering these little signs so I may make it a part of my regular routine from now on.

This is the second blog of yours (since I have joined) where you manage to offend people who are less than perfect.

Do you really think "fat" people do not know they are "fat"? Do you wish to deprive them of the same euphemistic freedom you claim by calling yourself "enchanting"??

Let me rename YOUR blog: "Some MEN are psycho - or obsessed".

Gosh, being height/weight proportionate, I hate when "fat" people call me "skinny". Can't they be politically correct & refer to me as "just right"?? That "skinny" term is so offensive to me.

All my life as a kid I was called skinny as well. I was barely 90 pounds through school and made it to a whopping 119 lbs by the time I graduated from high school

My kids told me I was fat by the time I was 45 or so and in fact, I was then, and still am 20 pounds overweight so I have learned the meaning of the old cliche "If the shoe fits wear it"

Our society has a tendency to assign labels. that is how we protect ourselves and build walls...

Such is our nature as we travel the path to enlightenment.

One day we will come to regard things in such a way as to join each other....

Hopefully that one day appears soon.

The blogger meant no harm or ill will to anyone.....

"Home of a FISHERMAN (and the catch of his life)
Well nobody commented about the sign which compares women to dead fish

"A good horse thoroughly broke is worth a considerable sum, but a good man thoroughly broke ain't worth a red cent."
or the worthlessness of homeless people

"Friends Welcome (Family by appointment)"
or my obvious disdain for family values

"Home of one sweet lady and one cranky old goat"
No men stood up and objected to being compared to goats, nor did any women thank me for calling them sweet

"Whales Save Us"
Green Peace Foundation has not called me yet objecting to the emotional trauma whales will experience when they realize we are counting on them to end all wars and solve our economic crises

So I am bigoted, obsessed, evil and obnoxious if you choose to see me that way otherwise I am a pretty laid back kind of guy living on a mountain trying to mind his own business which includes making signs, log furniture and trying to make the world a better place, one art project at a time

I'm feeling a bit fat but I could only focus on:

"Life is too short to drink bad wine"
