I live in Arizona, where the winters are mild (No Snow) and sometimes it will rain, which floods out the streets in some areas, (Hence the stupid motorist law) When that happens, people will try to drive through it and wonder why their car gets swept away.
But most times, the weather is dry... so go figure this one:
You try to get over in a lane, they speed up so you cant.
Red light running is a sport here.

The speed limit is 65-75 on the freeways... Then the snowbirds come.. they think its ok to drive 45 mph in the left lane on the freeway, or in the HOV lanes.

You have idiots that will sit through a green light then run it when it turns red, (This is done during rush hour.)

I can see the traffic slowing somewhat when it bottlenecks, but when the road widens, you should be able to maintain or increase speed.

Every single morning on the 10, 17, 60, 101 and 202, there are accidents, which then block and slow traffic, making it hard for people to get to work.

You have the ones texting on their cell phones, or talking, take your pick.
You have the ones driving down the road reading a newspaper.
You have the ones putting on their makeup while driving down the freeway.
And they wonder why they have accidents.

Then comes the following:

Drunk or drug induced drivers... lovely
Fighting couples
Parents whose kids refuse to wear seatbelts, and distract said parent, causing accidents.
Snowbirds (People who come from colder regions) That drive like they are going down a country lane on the freeway.
People who refuse to yeild the right of way
No Turn Signals.
People driving in the rain with faulty windshield wipers.
People driving in the rain with bald tires.
People who don't watch their kids (ages, yes this is true 1 year old and up.) And then wonder why they got hit.. got news for ya, you were busy getting drunk or making another kid while your little one got out to play in the street...since they were so small, the person doesn't see them, and bam! Now the child is either seriously injured or dead.
People who rush to get infront of you, then slow down to a snails pace.

Well, I can go on and on, but let me tell you, since I have moved here, I have given this state a nick name: Arizona land of idiots.

I agree 100% I've lived here 22 years and the driving is horrible. Note to anyone on a bike or walking: don't even try it, the drivers are idiots so dont even try it. the 17(freeway) is the worst. The snowbirds are back ladyvamp. That just makes the bad driving out here even worse for the next 4 months

I think you're gonna have those things in just about every state.
Summer & holiday weekends Wisconsin gets the Illinoians coming up here;
Then there's the southerners visiting relatives for the thanksgiving & christmas holidays who have NO IDEA how to drive in snow.
It's all over.

Cat is right. And let me add that here in Michigan, we get drivers from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, AND Canada. BUT, I will say it, there are some Michigan drivers that cannot tell the difference between 30mph and 70mph. Oh yeah, cops like nailing the dummy doing 70 in a 30.

Every state has it's "dummy driver" problems.
