... a Reearcher,,has found ,,that Mantis Shrimps ...which live in the Great Barrier Reef...in Australia..have the most Complex Vision system in the Natural world... They can see,,in 12 Colours... Humans ..only see,,in Three..and they can distinguish between different forms of Polarised light they have special ...Light Sensitive Cells..their eyes perform similar functions to those found in...the Mechanism ,of a CD or DVD player...they convert light into different forms..Linear polarised ..to circular .Polarised.. The Key difference ,is that the Shrimps ,can do it accross a whole..spectrum of Light..and DVD players can do it with only one colour.. Researcher ..Dr N.Roberts from Bristol Uni..[uk]who published his paper in Nature Photonics..said his work ,,showed a Unique mechanism,of the shrimps eye "IT out performs anythings we humans are able to Create" he says ..it could help us make better optical devices"..using crystals that can mimic..the properties of the Eyes of the Shrimp!" Amazing ..so be careful next time you look at a Shrimp..give him some Respect!!
