I know, it's not everyone's favorite thing to do going to job interviews, but....I'm keeping a positive attitude about things, the man seemed happy to hear from me, perhaps others have not discovered his job posting yet, so....if luck is on my side I may be employed once again, at least this time it won't be in the gun industry, I am a food person and this would be working for Edible Arrangements, if you are unfamiliar with them, they make flower arrangements out of fruit. I once sent an arrangement to my realtor as a thank you and he really appreciated it. This is for a Customer Service job. Anyhoo, it may be a rainy day outside, but I am hopeful it will be a good day after all. Wish me luck guys!

I hope it's something that you really want to get, and that you do get the job.

I'm starting a new job today - dropped that last "job" (I called it slavery) like a bad habit yesterday, as I got a phonecall on Monday about one I had looked into: walked into their office yesterday (instead of being at the slave drivers' at 0500), had an interview, then the OWNER walked in and sat down & talked with me - and they begged me to start today! (been a long while since that had happened!)...they've even bouncing me up a few notches: they were originally talking about giving me a '04 Freightliner, but instead, I'm getting a '06 Volvo! ( ) Called the slave drivers, and told them to p__s up a rope...that felt soooooo good!

Don't worry - just walk in as positive as can be (but NOT arrogant), and you should be fine. I think what helped me, was my work in the airline biz: they asked me about that (it was all customer service/retention - I worked in air freight imports), and I'm thinking it was more my demeanor that made them want to hire me. Show them that you're a very level-headed person, and that may help.

I'll cross my fingers for 'ya as I drive to Texas today, and I'll look for an update when I get back.

Best of luck to 'ya.

Edible Arrangements
I always wondered how they keep the fruit from turning brown???
If you get the job & you're asked by others how the people are to work with, you can tell them you work with a bunch of fruits!!!

I know you will do well.........Too bad the gun thingy didn't work out. (I love guns).

Anyway, I wanted to answer this one:

I always wondered how they keep the fruit from turning brown

Adding citrus helps (lemon or lime juice). Plus, if you start with really fresh fruit that has been vine ripened and not gas ripened, it will last longer.

As it turned out, I was told to come for a job interview, I got there, the girl asked me to fill out a job app which I did, then the owner came out from the back of the store, took my app and resume and said I'll call you, no interview, nada, what the heck!!! Just talked to a friend of mine online and someone she knows said to stay away from that particular store, that the owner isn't good to work for. Back to square one again? I think so.

It sucks when people do that...

Before I went to work for the "slave drivers", I must have filled out 20-30 applications all over the place. All of which said they were hiring, but after I handed them the filled out app, they then told me that "well, we're just taking applications - we have plenty of people right now."

Than can just destroy your positive outlook.

No worries, though - on to the next one!
