This article is pretty good. It might save you from taking a job with the wrong employer.

#10 pertains to my last job, they put an ad online just 2 days after I lost my job and the ad is no longer there.

Also, when I took my last job I put down the money amounts I was willing to accept, between such and such, but when they went to hire me they didn't even ask me if it was acceptable, they just said this is what you are going to be getting. I personally feel salary should be discussed. The last job I applied to I put negotiable, I think that is alot safer thing to do.

I don't believe in dead end jobs. I believe everyone is being paid exactly what they are worth. Those who were laid off were obviously insignificant to the company.

And if the job isn't paying well, do what I do- invest in the stock market. With the exception of the past two months, I have been getting paid 125% of what I get paid at a job.
