To: Tanikogirl Date: 10/29/2009 06:48 PM Subject: Hi report spam Hi dear, from your profile, I found that you are such a humble and kind hearted person. For that I have chosen to bless you but you shall bless my people too. I have a fund of $5.5 Million USD which am keeping for late Staff Sgt Darrel D Kasson where I went for my mission work in Iraq. This is the kind of money this soldiers control. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm Am now proceeding to the monastery where God has called me to be and I will be instructing attorney Robert Antonio to assist you in getting the money from the bank with the right legal documents. Please don’t send ANY MONEY to the attorney because he will be having 20% of the total money after you have received the it. Please make sure you bless the following organizations for their good work of humanity as soon as you receive the money. 1) Compassion in Jesus'name. www.compassion.com Donation for the poor in sudan. 2) TearFund. www.tearfund.org Donation for the poor in Congo. 3) Serving Our World. www.servingourworld.org 4) Bolivian Charity Foundation www.boliviancharity.org 5) Grameen Foundation. www.grameenfoundation.org For their good work. Please get back to me directly on {email address removed} for more details. I may be leaving as soon as possible. May God continue to protect you. Rev. James Connor.

Yea, I got the same message about an hour ago, Looks likr revjames is making his rounds. When I saw the 'typo' "This is the kind of money this soldiers control." I stopped reading. Those 'typos' are a dead giveaway that they don't understand the English language.

I wish I had £1 for every one of those I've received, I'd be a millionaire. Always good to put out a warning for the newbies though!

yes, i've gotten many of that type too. usually on my hotmail addy. which is not anything like what i normally use, or my yahoo mail. i got my first one back in about '96 when i first got involved with the internet. the words and people may be different, but the message is always the same.
as a quick note as well, i have only had one spammer try so far today, maybe someone read by blog. what ya think?

The spammers definitely work off the blogs and comments.
Whenever I post one, the spam increases.
I like to cut and paste one spammer's address to another.

This is a scam. A scam is a dishonest attempt to hustle money, by any means or medium.
Spam is unsolicited commercial junk e-mail. It's not necessarily dishonest, just offensive to all but morons.
