Locust
Why it is called a force of change?
Locust is the swarming phase of short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acrididae
Desert locusts are known to swarm by the billions,
inflicting severe hardship on farmers in parts of Africa,
China and other areas.

I talked once with a guy who had been in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) when they had the Locusts...
He said that it was devastating. Nothing vegetal remained.
Also, he said, those critters would get into everything. He had put rolled towels at his hotel room window and at the bottom of the door, but still they managed to get in.
Every morning, there would be some in his bed.... and everywhere else...
