Ok, so the holiday is over, I went to what I thought was a Halloween Costume Contest on friday but not enough people showed up in costume so the contest was cancelled.  Although the party itself was fun and the dancing was too.
Well on that night, I heard of one taking place last night (Halloween) at a different place. I decided mom was going to this one too, lol! Before I could decide how to dress her though... I had a call from an old friend and he wanted to walk through the local corn maze, but not alone..... well it had been years and years for me since I had done that... and let me tell you... it was a blast!!  They had also informed us that they DO have a night time "haunted" version, but I was not coming back by myself to go to it.
See this friend had just broken up with his girlfriend and is 15 years my junior!  LOL.... I am sure we will always be "just friends" as he is looking for a new girlfriend, and had told me that he had been writing to a couple already.
Anyway, we had lunch after that, Chinese... and that was nice too.
OK back to Halloween.....  When I got home I rounded mom up, lol, and we went searching for a costume for her.... something that was CUTE, since she is CUTE lol!
After some time, I realized that at this other place, there is quite a bit of walking and they have a couple of wheelchairs at the door... SO why not make her a patient too,.... LIKE ME!!!? I went and grabbed a hospital gown at the thrift store...
we went home and got ready.... here with a bloody bandage around her head... a spider in her hair... her pj's on... with the gown over top of them.. a little bouquet of flowers and a tissue box to hold... and OH, she also had a bag of blood around her neck!!!!!!!!!  We did take a picture of each other BUT I will have to get them scanned before I can share! I DO have a scanner, but I have not done it yet... It's new.
Well, we didn't win any prizes BUT I loved making people laugh as we paraded around the place.... her in the wheelchair and ME with my fake BOTTOM. I think we had joined the wrong category. We were in the couples one and maybe should have been in the funniest one... but it was a load of fun!
