You followed me home one day
and its plain to see you are a stray

I fed you and talked to you but you chose not to stay
as soon as you heard the dogs barking you ran away

I thought about you often and wondered where you sleep at night
And always look for you in the morning light

You hair is dirty and missing in places too
But you are such a beauty it doesn't seem to bother you

You sit at the edge of the yard I guess waiting to eat
Its sad to see you have to keep up your guard while looking so sweet

When Im outside you can tell
I stoop down to pet you and bring you out of your shell

But you jump and run as soon as im close enough to touch
Get use to me Pretty Baby because im not giving up

A few days have come and gone without any sign of you
Just when I began to see some of the funny things you do

I still put food out for whenever your here
And check each morning to see if you've even came near

This morning was the start of the same routine
Yet in the middle of the flowerbeds what my eyes seen
Was a Pretty Baby looking up at me

Welcome Home Pretty Baby for however long you stay
What a wonderful way to start my day
