We have such a gift -- if we but choose to open it, accept it and use it. We only need to see ourselves mirrored in those who have a "hook" in us for positive feelings or for negative.

I buy into the Jungian concept of the shadow. The shadow is that portion of ourselves which others see that we cannot see in ourselves -- the louse on our bonnet.

Somewhere I knew that what irritated me about those men and particularly him was also a part of me -- but I could not quite focus on just what in their mirror was the offending trait.

I think I tore at the reflected image long enough last night to see myself... I thank you for sticking with me. I doubt you saw yourself in me -- which means you will likely encounter that frustration again. I am sorry for that.
