Yes,, the time changed. The semi-annual lurge forward or backward of one hour, to pay homage to the physics of time, and the sun.
Every year, someone forgets to change their clocks, and a moment of embarrisment occurs. One of my favorite writers on here, arrived every where one hour early everywhere he went Sunday morning.
No harm, no foul. Kind of funny actually, as it connects to everyone who has jumped through the hoops of changing the clocks.
The alarm clock first. The clock in the kitchen second. The wrist watch, for us old timers. The cookoo clock next. At some point, around Tuesday,,, we nearly wreck the car as we attempt to figure out the secret code to change the clock there. VCR/s, DVD/s, etc.,,, who cars. I just put a strip of black tape over the numbers anyway, so I don't have to be reminded of my technology short falls by seeing the damn thing blink all the time.
But we never seem to remember the other things that must be changed, semi-anually. The things that have a far more severe consequence than being early for church, or late for dinner.
Did you change the batteries in your smoke detectors? It's that time of year,, the time of portable heaters, increased strain on electrical systems, furnaces, fire places, wood stoves,,, and soon,,, paper, dead trees, and plastic.
Take some time this weekend, or today,,, and protect your family, your pets, and yourself if you have not done so already. For those on hard wired line systems,,, check for battery back up's, and a good cleaning. Drills for everyone.
Nine Volt batteries,,, the price of a rented movie.

I don't change my clocks until I get tired of celebrating the extra hour I have in the fall...I look at the time on the clock by the bed and think..oh gee it is already 10 am...no it's not...just 9 am...(I don't get out of bed till I have to...and...lol I don't HAVE TO!)
The computer clock is "time-correct", but since I play cards by EST, and I am CST, I still have to subtract or add an hour to one of them!...and my sister is in California...so there is another 2 hr calculation...so it seems there is never a time when time is the same anyway.....
Soooo... I enjoy this "extra hour" but don't like giving it up come "spring forward"...it is my time and "they" can't have it!
