Here where I live, a close family friend.... my brother's best friend and his wife....... lost their 2-year old to the A-H1N1 last week....
The A-H1N1 has hit our city HARD. And one of the sadder parts is, you have to really think if you want to go to the funerals of people that are even close to you, because you know many of them have been exposed and with so many people all in one place, and everyone leaking out various body fluids (tears and mucous), you know there is a high risk of it being spread/shared at the funerals. It makes it extremely difficult to give your friends and loved ones proper support without putting your and your family's lives at great risk.
As this devastating flu is spreading like wildfire here, I have been avoiding public places as much as possible. But you can't avoid them all together. Penny pincher that I am, I find myself going to much less stores, paying a few cents more for items sometimes (gosh that hurts!) to avoid making another stop. Not because I don't want to make another stop, but to avoid additional contact. And although I don't eat out very often anyway, I have almost completely avoided restaurants at the moment. Many other people are doing the same thing and businesses that were already hurting are hurting even more, now. And when you do enter a store or restaurant, it looks like a virus combat zone. In the restaurants you will find a large jug of hand sanitizer as you enter. Then, all throughout the restaurant you will find them scattered around, free for all to use. And they hope you do. All the grocery stores have them at their entrances, though that is the only place I have seen them there. Most of those are just the clear, anti-bacterial gel (though that really doesn't do a blessed thing to combat the flu because the flu is a VIRUS, not a bacteria) but one grocery store had this monsterous looking set up as you entered the store. It was as tall as me, had a couple of reservoirs on it, and then disposable wipes that you pulled out one at a time. On the side it said that it killed 99.5% of all bacterias and viruses. I think this was the best one I have seen yet. It not only fights against viruses, as well as bacteria, but instead of just rubbing it into your hands, you actually washed your hands with it, then threw it into the receptacle. It was an elaborate, harsh looking set up that gave us a reality check as to the war we are in against this flu.
But what REALLY angers me the most, is the fact that WAR is exactly what this devastating flu virus was more than likely intended for. Check This Out Most people don't realize this. Others that do seem to be ignoring it or dismissing the idea. But the fact is, our own government, in a careless, irresponsible mistake, may have brought this deadly illness onto its own people. Our own government may be killing our own people off!! And they want us to trust them with health care?!! I would like to know what else they may be keeping quiet about this virus - and you know they are.
People, it is spreading fast. Take precautions and protect yourself no matter how silly you think it may be or look. Even if you don't catch it, or are strong enough to ride it out, you could carry it to someone else, someone that's system can't handle it, a loved one that you want around for a long time.
Then there is also the possibility that it could be the act of terrorism, but I doubt it.

Sigh....
It is ironic that we love to consider ourselves superior to our ancestors. We shake our heads at their "barbaric" behavior and laugh at their superstition and rituals.
And yet...
Almost 700 years ago, the bubonic plague first appeared in Europe. The disease was so virulent and killed so many people that it just had to be...a conspiracy. Rumors spread as quickly as the disease that Jews had poisoned wells in order take control of Europe. Within three years, tens of thousands of innocent Jewish men, women and children had been brutally murdered. The foundations of the Holocaust were laid during that terrible.
661 years later, an Oklahoman woman, unwilling to accept that the flu has natural origins, concludes that it must a sinister conspiracy and seeks a scapegoat...just as our ancestors did.
Who will the victims be this time?

Anna..you have a very valid point there. If those who DON'T think it possible, back in the late 60's,our government was giving LSD to unsuspecting soldiers just to see the results. Human test subjects. Just as I believe that some anti virus companies develop and spread computer virus' just so's they can make you think you really need them,I wouldn't put it past our gov't to cause a pandamic desease to cause nationwide panic.
No..I haven't been vaccinated. Ain't going to be,either. But,I do think that that bottom feeder in the White House is trying to destroy America from the inside out. He's reversed a ban on people with AID's from entering the country. Let em' all in,he says.
I hope..Yes..HOPE he get's AIDS and dies a slow, painful death. He's a traitor to our country and deserves worse. How someone can be president and be ashamed to put his hand over his heart and pledge his allegiance to the country he's supposedly running is stunning to me. Nausiating is more like it.

Us greedy old folks want to collect the money we paid into Social Security.
Seeing the government has stolen it, I guess it is easier to kill us off than to pay us off.
Us old grumpys are just too mean to die quietly, though.

Regardless of the emails I am receiving regarding this blog, I will hold firm to my observations, thoughts and beliefs. And, so long as we in this country still possess the freedom of speech.... well, for the time being, anyway ...... I will continue to express my views and opinions. They are just that my views, and my opinions, and I am entitled to them. Everyone else can read mine, read others, read the facts, read the coincidences, read the claims, then form their own opinion and express it if they so choose. But I WILL NOT remove, change, nor withhold my opinion simply because someone else disagrees or thinks theirs is right and mine is wrong.

I have no doubt that the H1N1 virus was man made, You have to keep in mind on the fact, though, that what acts people blame on the "government" is not actions of the publicly visible government, but rather the so-called "shadow government" often labeled "Octopus." Octopus formed on a farm in rural SW Georgia near Fort Benning in 1975. Its original members were composed of high ranking army officers, embittered by the defeat in Viet Nam. Octopus today is an alliance of the occult, neo-nazi militarists, organized crime and high ranking leaders of fundimentalist denominations - in particular - the Southern Baptist Convention.
Certainly, people such as President Obama and VP Biden would never approve of such an evil thing as the H1N1 virus being unleashed on the world, but there are plenty of people in the United States that dream of having a two class society of haves and have-not's run by a military dictatorship.
I had a run-in with Octopus while living in the Shenandoah Valley during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Soldiers from Fort Detrick, MD would come at night and intentionally infect our goats with horrific laboratory bred diseases, When the poor animals were necropsied at the VA Diagnostic Laboratory in Harrisonburg, VA the Army would then take blood and tissue samples. After each night time attack, a colonel and major from Fort Detrick would pull into my farm driveway early in the morning to discuss "something?" and then drive back to the army base.
My ex and I owned a famous (federally inspected) goat cheese creamery. That is what saved the operation from total disaster. As a federally licensed food producing facility involved in interstate commerce, we were elligible for protection from the FBI. I assure you that the FBI is not involved in such things as spreading horrid diseases. The presence of FBI agents asking questions substantially reduced the frequency and boldness of the clandestine operations. On the night of December 21, 1991 the Army sent a squad of Army Rangers into our farm to "silence" me. For some time I had known their radio frequency and been stopping the night time attacks before any goats or sheep could be killed. I had also been given a set of Israeli Defense Forces night vision goggles by a rabbi, which were superior to the ones that the Army commandos were using. I hid under the snow for several hours, then jumped out of the snow in furror and whipped their butts. The soldiers never came back.

Just as you have the right to say what you wish, you also have the responsibility to consider the potential consequences of your words. Freedom is always accompanied by responsibility. You are certainly entitled to your opinions, but I think we can all agree one should not yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater or an airport. Similarly, we should always be cautious when people are fearful and there are more rumors than fact. None of us can ever be certain just who we might influence with our actions and words. Each of us has, I believe, has been influenced by something we have read at MatchDoctor whether in a blog or in the forums. We read something that made us change our beliefs or our perspective or we learned something that never would have occurred to us. In other words, our words have power and I believe that we should use that power wisely.

I am flattered that anyone may think that my writing could be that powerful. But my blog remains, AS IS.
IN ADDITION.... HERE IS ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING MUST READ ARTICLE.
I have always been afraid of vaccines, anyway. This article makes me even more nervous.
