The breeze lightly blows and caresses my exposed face, as the leaves crunch under my feet. My lungs expand to welcome the sweet Fall air that I breathe. My eyes follow the Fall colors as I notice the ridgetop full of oranges, reds and browns.
I turn my head to see a duck swimming on the nearby pond. I pause to watch his journey, and as he swims, along the bank, there is another duck that soon joins him, swimming out from the weeds that line the edge. Then there is another and another. Soon there is seemingly a family of ducks swimming along the pond.
The birds are still singing as if confusing the Fall with Spring, and the people... the people have smiling faces as they too enjoy the earthly canvas. My mind rests, just like the trees sleep and the leaves softly fall to the ground.
My senses swell as I take in all of the elements that make up A Walk In the Fall.
