Democrats in the US Senate blocked a Republican attempt that would add a question to the 2010 US Census asking whether or not a person is a US Citizen.
Apparently it's OK to ask things like your age, your sex, your date of birth and your phone number, but according to Democrats, it would be too expensive to add a question that asks if you are a citizen.
The original purpose of the census, as laid out in the US Constitution, was to enumerate the number of people living in each state so as to apportion their representation in Congress proportionally to their population. Gradually, through an erosion of this purpose, the census has been expanded to intrude deeper and deeper into our privacy and rights and is now being corrupted principally by radicals in the Democrat party.
As it stands now, EVERYONE in a state is counted on the census, even illegal aliens. Why in the world should people who are here illegally, and presumably are not even allowed to vote, be counted towards the amount of representation (and therefore votes) a state should receive in Congress? What this means is that a state with a lot of illegals gets more power in Congress and has more power to determine what laws will be passed by the federal government. It also means that states with more illegals get rewarded with a greater share of federal (taxpayer) money. What an outrageous concept!
So there is an incentive for a state to bring in as many illegals as possible in order to get more representation in Congress and more federal tax money.
And it is DEMOCRATS who are blocking any attempt to change this.
We MUST speak up about this. We MUST demand a stop to this practice. These radical Democrat policies are DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY. And most of the public doesn't even know it is going on.
