I post regularly on a football blog and this was posted by one of our regulars.

I'd like to talk a minute about something other than football. Recently My boy went to Afghanistan in the service of our country. He just sent me a letter with a list of names of guys that have no one from home corresponding with them. I was hoping maybe some of you would take the time to write one or all of them a letter, or send a card. Christmas is coming up, and these kids are going to be very lonely without at least something. My friend and I are trying to get packages going for all of them, but could use some help as He is on disability, and I am currently unemployed. The things they would really like to get are Beef Jerky, Gum, Monster Drinks, Instant Coffee, Black socks, Snacks, Cookies, Candy, ETC. The things they could really use, are Blankets, hand warmers (It gets below 0 at night there), sanitary wipes ( they get one shower every two weeks), and hand sanitizer. Here is the list of names: HM3 Porzio, Matthew : HM3 Schullenburg, Gerald : HM3 Laur, Carter : HM3 Barslou, Jeffrey : HM3 Clark, Benjamin : HN Eagleburger, Michael : HM2 Bromley, Daniel : HM2 Price, Alexis : HMC Davenport, Robert: LCDR Barkdoll, Timothy: HN Gavaldon,David. Their address is as follows: Name as it appears above 3rd Battalion 4th Marines BAS Co. CAAT 1 Red Section/Camp Deleram Unit41600 FPO/AP 96427-1600 This list is for a different address: Sgt Desalvo, Mario: Sgt Bertrand, Nicholas: Cpl Hill, Jason: Lcpl Beyer, Quinton: Cpl Faison, Christopher: Lcpl Gilson, Tyler: 1stLt Jevons, Michael: Lcpl Kary, Adam: Lcpl Luong, Dahn: Lcpl McCready, Edward: Lcpl Pinger, Johnathon: Lcpl Rojas, Nathan: Lcpl Stone, Tyler: Lcpl Summers, Brad: Cpl Sleiman, James: Pfc Troncoso, Nelson: HN Wagner, Daniel There Address is as Follows: Name as it appears above 3rd Battalion 4th Marines Weapons Co. CAAT 1 Red Section/Camp Deleram Unit 41600 FPO/AP 96427-1600 Thank you, and God Bless you for your help !

This got me fired up when I read it....so maybe I can help...
I am going to take to work, and post for all to see...if everyone would call friends, and pick a name and send a box...would brighten up some of these guys that are working so hard for us. They all share so whatever you can afford, will be so wonderful!
The Holidays are not a good time for a lot of you, for various reasons...by helping out someone over there, will guarantee to lighten your heart...Try it!
BTW...the cost of mailing is not bad...check with Post office...there should be special rates for this, and if a bunch of you do it as a group, will be pennies on the dollar...
TY, Willy, for reminding us of the Holiday Spirit!

Hi willy...I saw a link to your post on cnn and the address you posted caught my eye. My fiance is Nathan Rojas (lcpl Rojas, Nathan) he is with your son right now. His sister is doing the same thing as you and I think it's amazing! When I saw your post I felt that I just had to let you know that you and your family are not alone...Those men have all become very important to me along with Nathan and I know it's hard. I just knew that I had to comment on this and let you know that. Even if it meant having to open an account on a match making site. I just want to let you know that your son is doing something selfless and amazing for this country. You must be proud. I'm proud of Nathan and all of the 3/4 weapons company. May they come home safe and sound in may!

Hi am the sister of one of the soliders that you posted his name on this blog.I think its wonderful that your trying to build moral for these soliders but i know the list that you have been given to is incorrected, because some of these soliders have been sent stuff. Not to be mean but its a little scary to post their information on this type of website when there are different types of programs that will be happy to send packages to them with love and care. If your solider know of anyone that needs help why dont you go and ask for donations and send them out yourself it would safe for them. It is sad to say but there are mean people out in the world today. I know my brother and your son are fighting some of these bad guys and i am proud of them but i would want my brother to get anything bad stuff or negetive from this outcome.
