"I'm not a happy scissors" she said and she made me happy for the afternoon.
As usual, I phoned ahead to make an appointment with the hair stylist I've been seeing for the past 3 years. When I arrived, she apologized because a walk-in customer arrived before me and she (by salon rules) was obligated to take her first. The other customer (a woman) wanted a full shampoo, cut & blow dry. My stylist asked if it was OK that I waited 30 minutes. Initially, I felt I had little choice as all the other stylists had gone to the back on lunch break. The receptionist felt bad and offered another available stylist. I asked for her recommendation and the reception said she was very good.
Well, it was Diana (not her real name) and her station was near the front. Diana (not her real name) asked a few questions regarding style, length and I told her "If you cut a little, I'll come back sooner, too short and it will be a long time before I return." Her reply was "Don't worry... I'm not a happy scissors" Since Diana's (not her real name) native language isn't English, I think she really meant: "Don't worry, I'm not scissor happy"

Diana (not her real name) was polite and very diligent about her profession. She focused on the haircut and not much small talk... but that's OK. I was there for the haircut. Chatter isn't a requirement. Some stylists actually gab too much. Diana (not her real name) wasn't like that. She's about 5'-1" and all of 100 pounds, dark brown hair with streaks. Attractive enough for the dog in me to check to see if she was wearing a wedding ring. It was a tiny diamond... that tells me she's in love for love... and not for money. Well, that's how I perceive it.
Diana (not her real name) gave me a nice haircut... good enough to consider going to her again. As I left the salon, the receptionist remarked that (although I didn't see my regular stylist) I got a good haircut. I agreed and commented "Yes, it was very good, but I felt like I was cheating on my wife !!
