I know I have several emails to answer, and I'm really sorry I have not had the time to do so. When I am finished with this blog, I promise I will start on them. I will not promise that I will get to them all, though. I'll start at the bottom and work my way up.
It has been such a busy week for me. Would you believe I just got my purchased gifts wrapped very late last night?
I did take the day off from work today, but I had to travel about 40 miles from home to turn my paperwork in to my job. The trip over there was awful with a complete white-out at times, and the roads were really bad traveling. It did stop snowing while I was in that town, and the roads were already much better traveling back here. I stopped in at my sister's to make a quick pudding pie with peaches before heading home.
My daughter and crew are coming through some horrid weather to get here. I was expecting her between 2 and 3 p.m. today, but I don't think they'll get here much before 6. I told her to wait for a few days until the weather got better, but...... she's so much like her mother. I recall them doing the same thing last year as well. They'll be here for 10 days with me, though.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and I have a re-post of a Christmas poem I wrote last year. I hope you enjoy it.
The Keeper
Christmas is coming, indeed it is 'Tis right around the bend We're all on our best behavior now Our hearts are on the mend
There'll be laughing and singing and carefree hearts No wonder! such glorious moods From all around the globe, it seems Even by those considered as prudes
There'll be many shouts of "Merry Christmas!" Followed by hollers and hoots We'll smile at all the Santas In their brightly colored suits
We'll listen intently to the carolers Standing outside our door Singing their songs of peace, joy and hope Leaving us yearning for more
Our homes are brightly decorated Many lights both inside and out The aroma of fresh baked goodies Fill all of our senses, no doubt
Children gathered 'round the Christmas tree Tiny voices so sweet and low Sharing stories of Baby Jesus So precious that they know
If we're feeling sad or lonely Around our shoulder is an arm All we need do is think of Him To feel alive and warm
Take into consideration, though While passing the cheer around There are those we need to think about One would hope prayers would abound
Let's not forget to pray for the soldiers Their parents, husbands and wives These soldiers that'll be missing Christmas While protecting our very lives
Let's not forget to pray for the people While on our bended knees Those that have no homes, no food No clothing nor families
Let's not forget to celebrate The reason we're so blessed It's because of Baby Jesus's birth But I'm sure you must have guessed
So when Christmas does come Remember on that morn To give praise to GOD For that 'Star' that was born
The Lord is the Keeper of our hearts The Keeper of our goals He's the Keeper of our minds And the Keeper of our souls
The Lord is the Keeper of Venus And also the Keeper of Mars He's the Keeper of our lives He's the Keeper of the stars
They can try to take our GOD away, but in our hearts........He'll forever stay!
Wishing a 'Joyous and Blessed Merry Christmas' to each and every one of you...
