A while back I read a news story about an Officer (Terry Lakin) who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he considers orders from President Barack Obama to be illegal. He believes that Obama doesn't meet the constitutional requirements to be president (and commander-in-chief).
Instead of reporting for duty (at Fort Campbell, KY) he went to the Pentagon where he was confronted by his brigade commander. His security pass and laptop computer were seized. According to one news source, "Lakin, whom the Army describes as a "birther" because he's challenging Obama's birthplace, is being so persistent in his protest that the Army may have no choice but to order a court martial."
Maybe (when he gets out of jail) Larkin should take it to the Supreme Court...
Actually, I think the Army will cut him a deal just to shut-up and make him go away.

This man has a serious problem. He is suppose to be a soldier who gives and follows orders. He should be court martialed just like all the other soldiers who refuse to deploy. There is no deal.
The young woman with the kid was discharged from the Army with out any military benifits. There is a big difference between and officer and a non-commiss.
He should do JAIL TIME too.
To set up and play soldier and when it comes time for him to earn his money, he tries to get out of it.--Give him 20 years in Jail.
They also need to get the person and persons who persist that Obama wass not born in the USA and determine their reason--racist, biogets and then determine if they are true USA citizens. Or have enough common sence to walk the streets.
This reminds me of the Vietnam bombing. When the order went out for B-52's to be used in bombing --some piolits refued to go--they were court martialed and sent to jail. It deem they could get flight pay and fly all over the world--but not into combat.--Guility as charged--hang him. For we do not need scum bumbs like this in service.

Yes, he is an American citizen folks. If he weren't, do you honestly think the Republican Party, with as much as they want to fight this President, would let him remain President without a challenge? The man was born in Hawaii, he's an American citizen, and, regardless of whether you like it or not, he is the one the voters elected into office.

Lt. Col. Lakin was to report to Fort Campbell for deployment to Afganistan, which would be his second tour. Last Monday, instead he reported to work at the Pentagon. There he was confronted by his Brigade Commander. Lakin's Pentagon access pass was revoked along with his laptop.
He will face Court Martial and possibly receive a dishonorable discharge for failing to obey orders. He's basically throwing away 18 years of dedicated U.S. Army service, his honorary Bronze Star Metal and Post-Doctral PhD to an allegation he hasn't been able to prove.

as far as i know all birth certificates are closed to public eyes, if you want to see one, you have to make a request for a copy of the same paper, and you better have a good reason for it else they wont give you.
looks to me most you guys made a blind sight at what Bush did, and whats going on now is that everyone is trowing bricks and stones at Obama because he is black, and yes, HE IS BLACK compared to me and white compared to some others, the fact is everyone is being so much angry at him that you all forgot about what the previous president did, if i were to compare presidencies i would say Obama did much more good in this year than Bush did in the whole 2 terms, Bush failed in diplomacy with europe, failed in the 2 wars, failed in the economy letting those wallstreet bankers do whatever they did, failed in healthcare, and the list goes on.
Straight up the thinking, it isnt Obama's fault the America is the way it is, atleast not all of it, its time to share responsabilities here, when Obama took office America was already half way down the shit hole and he just have to deal with it now.

1) There's a war going on. It's been going on for eight years now. Obama didn't start the war. If the war was valid in 2008, it was valid in 2009.
2) Soldiers over there are getting shot. This guy is a doctor. I'm sure that, as those wounded soldiers lie there bleeding to death, they're comforted by the knowledge that this guy refuses to support his fellow soldiers.
Pretty much, the guy didn't want to go back to Afghanistan, and jumped on the "birther" bandwagon. Not heroic, not patriotic, just one tired old guy who wanted out of the war.

Each person that doubts his citizenship should go purchase an airline ticket, fly to Hawaii, and look at it.
It was ALL OVER the Internet, on news sites, Snopes, etc. that it WAS checked into by appropriate people, or he couldn't have run.
He wasn't my favorite to win, but there he is. I didn't like Bush, but he was still my President.
I think these "doubters, birthers, tea partiers" are more attention seekers than Patriot. Just MHO.

I hope he is court martialed and does time because the oath he took said he would obey the orders of the president.
