I am Atheist and a Democrat (well, leaning towards the middle right now).....and I say that I am frickin tired of just laying here and having good faith in this government.
The only thing this President has changed is going from a white President to a Black President.
Change is coming...uh huh...sure....
I want a job and be able to afford to get my pills...darn it.....and have SS when I get older....heck I paid for it. Grrrrr
See, even the libs are coming to their senses. :)

As a person that is in the middle. I look at it this way. When you have a job..your employers look at your performance..if you can do the job or not. If you excell..might even get a raise. Well that is the way it once was anyways. Many are lucky to even have a job..period.
Looking at Obama...and other politicians. That are not doing a good job at all ! And as with anything..it goes back to who is in charge. The leader..it is in his hands to make things work...and everything is failing miserably.
It does not matter what party they are. Either they can do the job running a Nation..or they cannot. So as sad as it is everything is on a downward spiral.
The country is in a mess.
The people that cant see this. Are so die hard Dems..or Rep...and do not wont their party to fail. So they look for something else, or someone else to blame. Looking through blinders.

Ummmmm...... Where do you get your ideas about atheists?
I would say you are so far out in left field on this one, youre not even in the game anymore. Atheism isnt a doctorine nor is it anything but a stance on gods, all of them. Until there is evidence, there is no belief.
That means, there is only one shot to do and make the best out of the life we live. For the most part, we dont want people to lay down and just take things. We want people to find their own answers and use logic and reason rather than faith based. You could say the same for christians, who are no better than the muslims. Believe or else. The only difference is that the christians will rejoice when the sinners are in Hell and the muslims will send you there. Thats more of the take it or else attitude that atheists are fighting against.
If there is a god and he did create us and gave us these wonderful brains, how could he ever damn us for using them? Or is that the hook? We have these amazing brains and those that use them are condemed to a fate worse than death ..... or marrige.
As far as the dems, there are a couple decent ones out there and to paint them with such a broad brush is a bit absurd. Just like it is to paint every republican with the same brush.
Im a conservative republican, proud atheist and well........havent been desperate enough to try necrophilia, though give me another 3 and a half years without sex and I may just change my mind.
My problem with the dems and other humanitarians and the like is that instead of nature letting things take their course, we jump in and try to save everyone, which in turn is polluting the gene pool with undesirable traits. I should have died when I was a child, but because I didnt, I am able to pass on my shit genes.
Isnt science great? At least I can make the decision not to destroy someones life with aliments for the sake of my immortality and ego. And yes, I would prefer to live in a more Darwinian society.

Hell, It seems like all they know how to do well is screw around and some of em can't even do that right.
I'm talking about all politicians whether they are Dems, Rep, standing in the middle, or standing out in left field. We don't have any money left because they are spending it on their high $ whores. This is why they can't come to an agreement regarding this debt ceiling shit, they are blaming each other for spending too much money on their last whore. Black, White, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese Politicians, all doing the same thing. I don't care if the next President is effing blue he or she will screw up like all the rest of em.
