do you beleive in karma? like what comes around goes around i have really been giving this a thought like since my son tommy and his ex fiancee split, its like she was married once before and she tried everything she could to make it work with her ex husband she ask for a 2nd chance he wouldnt give her one, later down the road she meets tommy they are together five years start having conflicts, before they split tommy begs her to give him a 2nd chance he dont get one, my ex husband and i were married 23 years he was abusive, to me, but he was married before, he ask her for a 2nd chance he didnt get one, so when we split he ask me for one i didnt give him one its like what comes around goes around, on and on and on some call it karma some call it fate some call it reaping what you sow, some say like the quote do unto other as you would have others do unto you, but people dont do that they do unto others what has been done unto them but it all boils down to shit happens

Who was it that said keep your words tender and sweet cause you never know when you'll have to eat them. Maybe Mark Twain or Will Rogers. I don't believe in Karma in a religious way but I believe in the concept of paying for your sins in some way or another.

I do not think it was karma in these cases, just unfortunate choices.

Karma is just another feel good word to me. People make choices in life and then suffer for them down the road. There is nothing mystical about it. When you didnt give your ex another chance, it wasnt karma getting even or supplying justice, it was you being done. Things dont happen over night. From talking to you via e mail once in awhile, you dont seem the type of person to just up and say f*ck it. I would imagine you hit a point where you could no longer stand for the indignities. It was his choice to treat you in such a bad way, that you wanted nothing more to do with him. There is nothing mystical or magical about a person dealing with the consequences of his actions.
I dont know to say about your son and his ex. Sometimes having problems drains the other person more than they know. With me it was cutting and only until one of my exs cut, did I understand what I put her through every time. What is, is.Trying to put a positive spin on it degrades it and devalues it.
What about a woman who has spent her life helping people that is gunned down? For the sake of arguement, lets say shes christian and the conotations of the follow. What happened with karma in her case?
When you start trying to give meaning to randomness, you come up with religion. Embrace the randomness, that way when something good happens, its that much more special. (...Did I just rape the english language with that last phrase?) If things were planned, then what value could we take in anything if it was going to happen regardless? I take comfort in knowing life is unfair. If it were...... there wouldnt be so much suffering now would there?
I know its not easy having mental problems and then having the whole world fall down on you. I hope your son takes this lesson to heart and comes out a much better and stronger person for it.

Heartbreaks are always hard on you, it doesn't mater if you want the break or not but we all seem to bounce back in time! I'm sure you son will find a way in time to rebound!

I totally believe in Karma. I also believe in laws of attraction.
In your case I think it was more common sense than anything else.
