There are more than 2 million people in the US military. One of them lost his bearing after the stress of war in Afghanistan and did some things that were wrong. By the coverage of this remarkably rare incident in the liberal media you would think that the entire military is composed of a bunch of mental patients who can't be trusted with a gun. It's despicable.
But it isn't close to as despicable as our own president, Commander In Chief, throwing our troops under the bus. Obama is sending his Secretary of Defense to speak to marines in Afghanistan supposedly to boost their moral. Usually, the marines are armed at all times while in the war zone. But this time, for the first time, Obama is having them TURN IN THEIR WEAPONS while the Secretary of Defense is there. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
The excuse they are giving for this despicable act is that the Afghan military are not allowed to have weapons and so they are taking away OUR TROOP'S weapons so the Afghans won't feel bad. They want them all to feel "EQUAL." It's the "equality" gag. ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING ME?!!!!
That reason would be outrage enough. But the real reason is EVEN WORSE. The REAL reason is that Obama is sending a message that the marines can't be trusted not to put a bullet in his Secretary of Defense. Because of the act of a single soldier, Obama is throwing our entire military under the bus. Can you imagine how someone who is giving their all to protect us feels about this insult from their Commander in Chief? There aren't even words to describe what a bastard Obama is to do something like this to our troops.
In my entire life I have never heard a president wage such an outrageous insult on US military troops Whose side is this president ON! IT IS AN ABOMINATION.
In case you didn't know before, when liberals tell you they support the troops, don't ever believe it.
REPEAL OBAMA 2012!

Yeah, lets go over and strip a foriegn nation's troops of it's weapons and keep ours. That's a great way to make friends and win hearts. Either both are armed or neither are. In my way of thinking armament in a secure political rally would be insane. When I was a active duty Marine I didn't expect to take my weapons to church or the movies. Your interpretation that Marines are not trusted is bullshit!!!!!! and an insult to all Marines including we honorably retired Marines. In order to advance your programmed political agenda you choose to insult our troops under the pretense of defending them. We don't need you.

It's Obama's belief that the Marines can't be trusted, not DR's. I served in the U.S.A.F. for 6 years and appreciate all that the members of the American military have done for us and continue to do. The problem is this liberal President couldn't give a rat's ass about the Marines or any other branch of the military. We are lucky they were not ambushed while Pineta was there.

As he should be. I cannot believe this. The Commander in Chief disarming our military and having the gall to imply that they cannot be trusted with their weapons?
He should be tried for treason.
No I don't know that show, but if that is what they are saying they are right on.
It's nearly impossible to even believe that even Obama would pull a disgusting stunt like this.

Yes, he is Mr. New York without a doubt. No one has more street smarts than Sliwa.

as usual... DR spins it all out of porportion and makes it seem worse than it is..
And if that bit of unmatched asshattery didn't stupefy you, there's this. Our soldiers were asked to disarm during Leon Panetta's speech. After the failed assassination attempt (the jihadi clown, a trusted Afghan who who worked as a translator for American forces, blew himself up without taking out his target), soldiers were told to disarm. .... US soldiers were banned from bringing guns into a talk by Mr Panetta at a base in Helmand province. Around 200 troops who had gathered in a tent at Camp Leatherneck were told "something had come to light" and asked abruptly to file outside and lay down their automatic rifles and 9mm pistols. "Somebody got itchy, that's all I've got to say. Somebody got itchy – we just adjust," said the sergeant who was told to clear the hall of weapons. Major General Mark Gurganus later said he gave the order because Afghan troops attending the talk were unarmed and he wanted the policy to be consistent for all.

My biggest problem every day is deciding which Obamanation to write about. Just when I start thinking about one outrageous thing he did and what I am going to say, I come across 3 more ... every day. I end up having to pick just one. I could write these blogs 24/7/365 and still miss out on most of the outrageous anti-American things Obama says and does.

Although it wasn't Obama that ordered the Marines to leave their weapons outside the tent where U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was set to speak during his trip to Afghanistan...It was Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus:
In a highly unusual move, around 200 U.S. Marines were asked to leave their weapons outside the tent where U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was set to speak during his trip to Afghanistan on Wednesday.
Although the military said the order was not given in response to Sunday’s shooting of 16 Afghan civilians allegedly by an American soldier, it possibly underlined how high tensions were running after the incident. “You’ve got one of the most important people in the world in the room,” Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus told reporters at Camp Leatherneck, dismissing concerns related to the shooting. “This is not a big deal.” He said he had given the order because the two dozen Afghan soldiers also there were unarmed and he did not want to treat them differently.

Although it wasn't Obama that ordered the Marines to leave their weapons outside the tent where U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was set to speak during his trip to Afghanistan...It was Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus Angel. I am trying to give you some range here but I can't let this go without pointing out that your facts may or may not be correct, but either way your analysis is very naive.
Of course Obama doesn't directly order the marines to disarm. They don't report directly to Obama.
A general is not going to give an order like this without having it at least approved by Obama and almost certainly initiated by Obama. To conclude otherwise is absurd.
OF COURSE it was related to the shooting. Do you think the military is going to say that: especially when you can be sure Obama covered it with them NOT to mention that no matter what? It never happened before until now. What is different about this time? DUH. The shooting.
The general and the rest of the military report to Obama. If Obama tells them to do something (or not do something), they salute smartly and do it even if it makes them sick to their stomachs. That's the way the military works.
The scenario is clear. Obama ordered OUR OWN TROOPS to be disarmed implying that he considers them a THREAT to our own security after one soldier lost his way and made a mistake. He has HUMILIATED these marines. I can only hope they will remember it on election day (that is if their votes ever get counted... Democrats are very fond of trying to find ways to not count military votes.)
This is clearly a political move, orchestrated by Obama, to pander to the Afghans at the expense of HUMILIATING our troops.

A commanding general doesn't consult the president on a matter of security in his command. He makes dozens of these decisions daily. The president as well as congress has placed it's trust in the commander and his decisions. Of course when a party bot decides to spin and second guess a lawful decision by such an experienced officer and then defame the Marines in a purely political blog I have to object. Yes, Obama has to answer for the decisions of his general but Bush also has to answer for the US officer who turned traitor and killed his fellow soldiers. How culpable is the president in those acts? Not very. There are real issues with Obama but this isn't one of them. If we want a good president we need to stick to real issues, not smoke and rhetoric. This is smoke and rhetoric that insults the Marine Corps and questions the loyalty of all Marines. I respect Willy for stating his qualifications as someone who served. I also respect his opinion. If you haven't served you should have NO opinion on the loyalty of our troops.

If you haven't served you should have NO opinion on the loyalty of our troops. Bullshit. I am an American citizen and I have just as much right to my opinion as anyone else whether they served in the military or not.
Obviously, as anyone can see from the things I have written, I have tremendous respect for those who served, including members of my own family. But that doesn't mean that no one who didn't serve doesn't have a right to express their opinion. Nor does it mean that just because you served your opinion cannot be challenged. That is exactly what the freedom the military represents stands for.
So screw you. You aren't going to intimidate me from speaking my mind with this socialist "if you don't agree with me you have no right to speak" totalitarian bullshit.

if anyone thinks for one minute that SoD Panetta, and the base he visited, wasn't being guarded like the Alamo while he was there, your nucking futs. Im sure there was a contingent of well-armed, locked & loaded soliders at that meeting, and they were probably told to keep a wary eye on those incompetent Afghan-stooge military bafoons who were present too. Im sure Panetta, and every single one of those Marines who were disarmed knew they were still being protected by their fellow brothers-in-arms who were charged with security detail for the event that day, and that all precautions were taken on that base for the meeting to even happen.

Click, that is most likely the case, but the message it sends right now, the way they publisized all of this, tends to make us look weak, and bowing down.
The president is Commander-in-Chief, and it is he, and his administration that sets policy for the military. Just look at the people that have resigned, and even more so, broke protocol, and spoken out against the president. Whether BO gave the order directly, or it was just someone following his policy, in the end, he is the one responsible! He is ruining the military, just as he is ruining the country! The facts bear this out.
A little off topic here, All you people who voted for Obama, and now have to live with what you have done, it's okay, everybody makes mistakes! Get over it, move on, you do not have to defend the idiot anymore! If you continue to support a man with no integrity, a liar, an underhanded cheat, someone who does not care about the USA, then what are we supposed to think of you?

Raise your hand if you are so naïve that you think a general would give an order to disarm his own troops, in a war zone, without the president approving it in advance.
At a minimum, Obama approved this humiliating order. More likely he initiated it and ordered it to be done.
It is an outrageous slap in the face to our entire US military force.

So screw you. You aren't going to intimidate me from speaking my mind with this socialist "if you don't agree with me you have no right to speak" totalitarian bullshit. So because I point out that anyone who hasn't served in combat has no valid opinion about the loyalty of combat troops I'm totalitarian. I fought in combat so someone like you who doesn't have a clue can use the Marine Corps and the loyalty of our combat troops who are dying for that right to spout anything for your own politibot ramblings. Yes, you use our troops in an attempt to advance your agenda I'll take exception. A commanding general makes a theater of conflict decision to prevent the Ugly American Holy Book Burning image we unfortunately have given our troops because our idiot leaders sent them to another Vietnam and being the bot you are accuse them of being untrustworthy and blame it on the president who didn't make this decision. That's political dishonesty and obvious groping for political gain. And you call me totalitarian?
What I said in my previous post was that I believe in our troops and our commanding officers and I'll trust the theater commander to make decisions I can't make from my arm chair. But one thing's for sure, I' ve been there and I know what I'm talking about. You can't say that. And no, you have NO valid opinion to offer on the conduct of combat troops. you can change things if you want. Go sign up and carry that rifle for a couple years, get yourself shot, serve the country you'd like to run and then I'll listen to you. Until then, get over yourself. Or you can just sit behind that keyboard and THINK you're worth listening to. I think I know which you'll choose.

Somebody here keeps repeating that I questioned "the loyalty of the troops."
What did I say that questions the loyalty of the troops?
On the contrary, what I said was that if the Commander-in-Chief gives and order, the troops loyally follow that order.
I never questioned the loyalty of the troops, I questioned Obama -- the civilian leader of the US armed forces -- and HIS loyalty TO the troops.

DR: But this time, for the first time, Obama is having them TURN IN THEIR WEAPONS while the Secretary of Defense is there. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! ....Not really out of the normal, because for instance, you check your weapon outside before going into a chow hall tent. Nobody wants a hot weapon in a crowded place that may go off because of whatever reason, including being dropped.
....There are a few exceptions, but mostly private contractors/mercs that are always armed.
....On the other hand, sidearms are usually allowed in a chow hall, but not unusual to be disarmed when a political hack shows up for a meeting or a speech. The tent held like 200 guys and I am betting most in attendance were officers, while the surrounding area was extensively fortified.

sloriver: Yeah, lets go over and strip a foriegn nation's troops of it's weapons and keep ours. That's a great way to make friends and win hearts. Hundreds of other incidents that did not result in death or injury are so common, that reports are not even made.

Our Marines were disarmed because Obama and many in his cabinet do not trust them. With Obamacare, NDAA, NDRP, Felony Protest and many other unconstitutional and Treasonous acts there are many American citizens & soldiers that no longer trust Obama as well. Google staff seargent Daryn Moran and seargent Stein for starters. My cousin is a Marine and he along with his whole unit are No longer sure if they should be following obamas orders as he is a Usurper. Obama is a corrupt lying fraud with a Fake birth form, Fraudulent SS# and Fake selective service card as exposed by prominent Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Obama is a Fraud, check out BirtherReport com on the web.. Barack Hussein Obama had a Muslim dad and a Muslim stepfather that adopted him. That makes Hussein a Muslim. Hussein also has Muslim family members, and the Luau tribe that obama is from is an Islamic tribe that were some of the 1st Slave traders of Africa. Hussein attended a Madrassa and learned the koran as a Muslim student in Indonesia. Hussein said he was a Muslim in an interview with Stephanopolis and Michele obama said she was proud to live in a Muslim family with Ms. O'Brien on CNN in January 2008. Taquiyya is the Islamic tenet that it is Good work to Lie to and Deceive non-Muslims to advance Islam. There is a record # of guns being sold every month, this past December 3 million guns sold, now 5 million guns are being sold per month. Chief Joseph said he knew there would be War when all the Braves started buying guns and bullets. Ammo is flying off the shelf now too. You seem like a smart guy DR, be sure to get Prepared. People who are blind and obsessed with American Idol, DWTS, Kardashians etc... are Irrelevant. Our time is coming Soon and there are Plenty of Patriots, Vets and Active Duty that will stand for Our Constitution. Good Luck to you DR.
