Just because you have an opinion and you think you know a little about something, or you have read something does not make you an expert on a subject. You are not a specialist in everything.
When something is posted or talked about and you know little about it, and you have to look it up on the internet and then post what you found.....does not make it a fact. In fact it is merely one persons opinion or one company's view of things.
Any subject is subjective. Any subject is relative. Any fact can be dis-proven, twisted, turned and injected with additional "facts".
Is my statement "Nothing Is Fact" true? Think about it...A statement claiming "nothing is fact" by definition, can't be true, because I am saying nothing is a fact while claiming my statement that "nothing is fact", is itself a fact.
"A fact in itself is nothing. It is valuable only for the idea attached to it, or for the proof which it furnishes." I think this is something many of us forget when we come in here to post and argue our viewpoint. You can copy and paste all you want....when you do so, you are merely posting someones opinion. What you consider as fact is merely your life experience, your limited knowledge of a subject or your belief.
Try to post a fact, something you believe to be 100% true and watch someone twist and turn it and change it to a non-fact.
So you see, all your arguing, bickering and convincing is futile....and that's a fact...lol...
I did want to thank everyone for commenting on my blogs, sometimes I just don't have time to email everyone personally. Sometimes I am to lazy....and that's a fact as well.....

And, when they are disagreed with or proven wrong, resort to foul-mouthed name calling and personal attacks.
Of course, that only proves their ignorance and lack of intelligence.

Though, some peole might not understand the gravity of it all. *coughs*
Yeah, if you havent noticed, I do think Im funny. hehe

I can respect someone's opinion if they present it like it is an opinion even if I disagree with it. However if they present it like a fact (Example G Zimmerman is GUILTY) then I lose respect even if I agree with it, which I don't.
Several bloggers present their opinions as facts and don't realize that it makes them look like buttheads.
Heck I'm probably guilty of it myself at times.

Wikipedia is a prime example of a source of "facts" that is anything but factual. Who would take the time to research and write an article for Wiki? Someone with an axe to grind on the subject ! Unemployed writers ! All wiki articles are user donated, except those they pay writers (often college teachers) to write.
So Wiki "facts", and a lot of other sources are just user opinions, dressed in an Encyclopedia format.
Do you really want to believe a socio/political propagandist or a down and out literature professor?

You Are Not a Professor .. ......Just because you have an opinion and you think you know a little about something, or you have read something does not make you an expert on a subject. ...You are not a specialist in everything. When something is posted or talked about and you know little about it, and you have to look it up on the internet and then post what you found.....does not make it a fact. In fact it is merely one persons opinion or one company's view of things. research.. is a first step.... but the fact is.. you have to understand what you are posting and how it relates to the topic...
and when/if ...you do...understand... you are then a professor...
5. a person who professes his or her sentiments, beliefs, etc. based on the works of others...(think about it.. very few people have done or said anything original lately..(and none, who are posting here, have) .. it mostly is a rehash of past works... )
otherwise you are merely a parrot.... or..talking head...
(it is those who want to say they are in an elite society that have issues...over semantics..)

Yeah, some don't get the difference between fact and opinion and have this desire to prove any and all wrong. I've learned to basically ignore, most of the time.

I'm glad I'm dumb as dirt.
It keeps me,,, "grounded".
Of course, being grounded around charged individuals is a good way to get shocked.
But,, shocked is not so bad sometimes.
If you didn't get shocked,
how would you know if you were grounded.
Did I mention,,,, I'm dumb as dirt.

Some post links as opposed to giving their potentially biased opinions and perceptions. Like this. http://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html
Like this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1382396/Workers-Chinese-Apple-factories-forced-sign-pledges-commit-suicide.html
Like this http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9221334/Robots_are_taking_mid_level_jobs_changing_the_economy
and like this http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/27/fully-automated-restaurant-opens-in-germany/
In an attempt to expand awareness rather than to inject a potentially worthless opinion and to encourage a reader to do their own research on a topic or string of topics and maybe connect the dots.

Not all professor have the same opinion on a subject and not all openions are true. You need to check your information from more than one source and like in good article and book writing--identify your source. I still remember a professor of calclus who would always look to my group as he would explain a problem on the board. for he was sure we would tell him about mistakes and yes he would grade our test and home work papers with a magifying glass. He did give us all A's and a thank you.

Any attorney can tell you that an "expert witness", often a professor, is always available for either side of a suit, for a suitable fee.
It is not uncommon for both sides of a suit to have "qualified expert witnesses", each arguing in favor of the side paying his fee.
And of course, here at MD we have trolls, who are "experts" and self appointed professors, and always opposed to the ideas of the people they are currently trolling at.
