I remember when, as an eight year old child, I once went on a trip with my dad, to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on one of his business trips. On the last evening of this trip, my dad, my sister, and I, along with some of my dad's work buddies, went to this picnic in a nearby state park. This would be a rare occasion where I would witness even the adults just letting loose and having fun for a change.
And the adults – well, they played baseball – 'twas quite an unusual site for this eight year old to see - my dad and all these other 40 somethings chasing after a little ball in a field! But they did, and they seemed to enjoy themselves, too! And, of course, so did all the kids – like any ole' group of young kids – we chased each other all over the place! Go figure! Kids will be kids.;) Anyway, the picnic took place at Pavilion Number 34, at Paul B Johnson State Park. It was lots of fun; a memory I'll never forget! Since then, 34's been my favorite number.:)
