I was telling a friend of mine this morning about one of the most joyous times in my life. I had begun studying A Course in Miracles. I had a routine in my life. I would read the daily lesson from ACIM when I first awakened. Then I would rise and do some yoga stretches -- two rounds of the sun salutation. Then, on with my running shoes and out for half an hour of walking or running. While out on the walk/run, I would meditate on the lesson from ACIM.
I remember a feeling of pure bliss. The colors of the world were brighter, and I saw God in everyone I met. I was invincible and invulnerable. I knew that no one could ever take from me who I was and that apart from that, nothing had value, substance or meaning. It is a state of mind I would like to recapture.
Later this morning, I received an email from someone else that said in part:Yes, I understand that we all probably see different facets of that great diamond called the Divine. Just wanted to demonstrate that it shines for me also. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, the words echo my often mentioned metaphor of seeing myself as a many faceted jewel. The statement gave me a new perspective on the metaphor though. It is a timely message for me coupled with my memory of the bliss I felt seeing the Spirit of God in all around me
Blessings on all who read -- and even those who don't!
