finding out someone you THOUGHT you knew wasn't at all the person you knew. amazing what a search on someone can do. trust me-do this on EVERYONE you meet-it may save YOUR life.

	I recently had the same thing happen to me...he was also from Michigan. I agree on the search....it is much better to find out now than to find out later..the hard way!

	You can google someones name/name with city and state as well as their screen name. Not all the information will relate to that person, you have to scroll through it. Also, whitepages.com will list identical addressess if there's a wife involved and states middle name and age most of the time. There's also two web sites to post anyones screen name truedater and opinity.com if you want to warn others about these people.

	Danger, I was just reviewing blogs and came across this from September. You are absolutely correct, a background check is a very good idea. A year ago I did a background check on a person who I had been dating, what an eye opener. 	Hi, Im new to this site.I was checking the blogs and saw this about fake people. Unfortunately, this is all too common online.. pple pretending to be someone else. I would like to add my '2 cents worth'. Ive been online for about 12 yrs and really nothing has really changed..there are always ppl ..m & f.. who love to play 'games..mind games'..with ppl. So..I am posting a few comments below.. I hope Im not out of line.If I am, I apologise. Online privacy is kinda a thing with me :) Never trust ppl online immediately.. be cautious.. talk to others who may know the person - NEVER give out personal info unless you're 100% certain.. I know that sounds harsh.. - its an unfortunate fact that many people are too trusting online Quite a few countries have the equivalent of 'White Pages' so checking names is easy (ie thru Telecom or similar) Keep emails.. headers may have clues as to ID's and what the real country/area they are in http://www.fraudaid.com/ US SITE - SITE INCLUDES A BACKGROUND SEARCH BUT COSTS
