This past Saturday, I emailed one of my friends, we had a "tiny" thing going back in January. We ended it though because I thought he needed to put some closure to the end of his marriage and his divorce. We remained friends. He is a single father of 2 of the cutest, sweetest little kids I"ve seen! I didn't get to see the kids much, as he moved soon after I moved up here. We didn't talk much over the summer, as I wasn't online much either, and didn't have a phone # to contact him. About a month ago or so, I emailed him to see if the kids needed clothes. I had some in my garage in town, and if he didn't need them for the kids, and none of the thrift shops wanted them, they'd have to be thrown away. He said he'd take them, he needed clothes for his 2 y/o little boy. I told him maybe there might be something in there for his 4 y/o little girl also. We've kept in contact through email pretty much since then. So, I emailed him Saturday, and told him that my daughter Carah had put up the Christmas tree, and told him how hard it was for me to look at it and know that Jason would not be here with us this year, or any years to come for Christmas. I told him how lonely I was, how depressed I was, and all I'd done all day was cry. How the kids all had their friends, and here I sit in a new town, (we'd just moved up here 7 wks before Jason's accident) and I don't know anyone, just my Pastor and my kids' friends. I got offline, did the dishes, picked up the house and waited for the kids to call to check in. I was just sitting back down at the computer, about 8:30 pm when there was a knock on the door. I went out to answer it, and to my suprise, it was my guy friend!! 1st thing he said to me was, "Did you check your email?" I said "no, i haven't been online since this morning when I emailed you" We sat on the couch for 2 hrs and talked about his kids, my kids, Jadyn my grandson, his job, Jason and somehow ended up holding hands. I felt so comfortable talking to him. Carah, my 15 y/o, who he LOVES to pick on, came home and of course the nagging and picking began. Of course they BOTH loved it!! It made me laugh and I really enjoyed myself. Last night he got online to see what I was doing at 4:30 am. I said probably sleeping....LOL He asked if I'd want to babysit his kids today. Of course I said YES! . He's a semi driver. OMG....I was soooooo excited. I fell in love with his little boy and girl from the 1st moment I laid eyes on them in January. Our 1st date was him cooking supper for me, my oldest daughter, himself, and his 2 kids. It was VERY nice. Anyways, I got up when my alarm went off at 3:50 am, but thought I had time to shower, so I drifted back to sleep. At 4:13 I heard knocking at the door, hurried out of bed, (looking like chit) and they were here!! I was soooooooo happy to see the kids. I had so much fun with these 2 little ones. We were going to make a cake together. I made them pancakes for breakfast. My kids didn't eat here at home, they left, just as I was getting the 1st couple cakes out of the pan. So, it was just the 2 little ones. I fixed the 4 y/o little girls hair. She wanted to put make-up on, and I told her maybe later. We looked at the Christmas tree decorations, and I gave her a gallon ziplock bag full of the ones I didn't really think had meaning to me. She sure loved the shiney ones...lol They are both so precious, and craving a Mothers love. The little boy kept calling me "mom" and I had to keep telling him I was Jini. Sometime around 11:00, i was in the kitchen, the phone was ringing, I heard a crash, seen that the tree had fallen down. I rushed in to get the tree, the 4 y/o little girl was under it, the baby was behind it...LOL he pushed it over on her, she wasn't hurt though, and their dad was on the phone. When he asked what I was doing, I told him ....pulling the tree off of your little girl, that your baby boy had pushed over on her. This tree is 7 ft tall. He laughed soooooooooo hard. But he said his mom was coming to get the kids early. Immediately, I was bummed. But I tried to keep it to myself. His Mom came shortly after he called and it was the 1st time I'd met her. She's a very nice lady. She did a wonderful job at raising her son!! A father/ Dad who took on the responsiblity of raising his children, and NOT running from them. I am so VERY PROUD of him. I've only known him a short time, but HE MADE ME THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD TODAY!! I want to say Thanks to Dave, and I hope you make it home safely tonight.....Much love, my friend, Jini
