Well another semester and back on the busy schedule. I got to work somewhere around 0400 to catch up on some class work. Because of my job schedule I am taking both on line and traditional class courses. I have a preference for the latter as you seem to learn so much more and the interaction is actually good for me! I say that because I have come to realize that socialization can actually be a good thing for people too. Now those who might remember that I have a background in animal welfare, including a large part the rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals will probably catch the humor in that! Speaking of animals, I think my dog 'Serge' misses me more than anyone now that I have returned to my hectic schedule of school/work/newspaper editor. He has been SO hyper all week when I finally get home, and while he knows better than jumping (keep in mind he's 100+ pounds) especially when I have my arms full of paperwork, he was ready to throw that knowledge out the window. Not that he jumps on me, (let's face it, I don't weigh a lot more than he does and considering our wrestling match experiences, I'm pretty sure that Serge would have me to the ground), but anyway, he jumps all around and 'Shepherd talks' to me. He runs with my truck up the drive way and sits patiently by my door (as he should) and he even remains sitting for a minute or two when I get out but then his excitement takes over and he's bouncing all over the place!!! My son, on the other hand is usually playing computer games or talking to some girl on the phone. But at least he always does say Hi and ask me how my day went. I guess I should be greatful that he is jumping around, huh? Seriously, he is SO sweet. Many evenings he will have dinner ready or offer to fix me something - I just don't know many teenage boys who are so thoughtful. I am very fortunate. Well it looks like time is getting away from me (again) so I'd better sign off and get to work on some of this other stuff. Until Later...
