French to English translation - "Let the good times roll!"

And that is just what we are doing here in New Orleans. After last night, it feels quite euphoric. When I woke this morning and realized that I would have to hurry to make it to church on time because I forgot to set my clock last night, it hit me. I had to pinch myself. Was it just an awesome dream? No, it was real. For the first time in our team's forty year history, we are in the NFC Championship Game. If Chicago wins today, we take a trip to the windy city. If Seattle wins, we will host our first championship game. Wow! Today, Seattle has the most passionate and loyal fans pulling for them. That is for today only. If they win, we will get our pots and spices ready for some sea-chicken gumbo.

Last night was unbelievable. I tried to call friends on the phone and kept getting, "all circuits are busy". People were popping fireworks. There were thousands of fans downtown, outside the dome, and in the French Quarter into the wee hours cheering, crying, and yelling, "Who Dat!". There are probably still some people in "da quatta" partying. We, here in New Orleans, don't need a reason to celebrate and have a good time. It's in our blood. This, however was truly special. We have stuck by our team through thick and thin, loyal to the end. There have been a few good seasons, not many. Most have been terrible. You all remember the bags, don't ya? We have always loved our Saints, no matter what. The Saints have given back to the fans at a time when we need it most. The Saints and their fans are joined at the hip. Grown men cried last night. The overwhelming emotion was too much to contain.

I finally got through to a friend of mine that I used to work with in the SF Bay Area. He and I were the only Saints fans in our company when we worked together back in the 90's. It was always fun rooting for our Saints in Bay Area bars, 49er country, as I'm sure you can imagine. When I called, he was at a sports bar, Dave & Busters, in Milpitas, CA. He was quite excited. He said that he had never seen so many Saints fans in California in his life.

Thank you "Bless You Boys"!!! We love you!!!

I can't wait until next week. Whether we take a trip up north or stay put, we will be ready.

An elated and die hard Saints fan for life!
