Okay, it's quickly heading toward 11 p.m. as I write this and I should have already started that long trek for home but here I am. Grateful that on this Wed. we did get the newspaper ready for print several hours a head of time ( could it be that I am actually getting people to understand what DEADLINE means?) So I should be celebrating and on my way home.
But I am bored. It's not that I don't have things to do. I still have a considerable amount of homework, there is a lot of paperwork here in the office I could work on, heck, I can even find a few things to keep me busy at home (If I'd actually get my butt there, that is).... But none of that appeals to me. Know what I mean?
Maybe it's just the cold weather and spending so much time indoors. I tell my kids this is why I always left the UP before winter ever hit. I would be the guy on the shining chasing people around with an axe because being cooped up inside would just drive me nuts.
I told someone that maybe I just didn't want to face going out in the cold and having to warm the car up before I can even leave the parking lot!
I just can't wait for the warmer weather.
And I apologize to all of you living in the really cold climates, snowed in or whatever. I know it's not that rough here in Oklahoma, I've lived in some of those other states (and yes, some even through the winter) so how can I complain about a little freeze and cold? Simple because I can (and I'm a wuss- )
While I know that anyone reading this will be SO disappointed I have to leave now. I just remembered I have to get some things for the office at Wal Mart on the way home. So that will kick off a good hour or two of extra time. And we all need at least a few hours now and then of sleep - so having said all that, I must end for now.
Here's hoping the storm they are talking about this weekend doesn't hit --
