I have said that part of the reason I came to this site was the situation of living out in the boonies and this hectic life that really limits making friends and/or any kind of social life it seems!

I recently realized with two different situations that I had made a lot of friends on this site. Most of whom I have never and will probably never meet, and some that may have only popped in once or twice, but friends just the same.

What is a friend, but that person who gives you a push when you need it, a vote of confidence or just a sense of confidence in your abilities? For that, so many on this site have been wonderful.

My first incidence was my nervouseness on an upcoming radio show. People were great in telling me to relax, pointing out the high points and giving GREAT advice. And you know what? They helped a lot and except for a few minor errors (which I was warned repeatable to expect) it did go well, we are receiving wonderful remarks about our show and yes, even having fun.

We had a few seconds of dead air a time or two, a minor situation (which was more fun than panic) when one of the songs playing had a few words that weren't suppose to be there - HEY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW THE SONGS FADE OUT WHEN YOU CUT THEM OFF but everyone was right - it was, and is fun.

The other incidence was the smoking. When I mentioned I was going to try to quit not one person preached or sent me photo's of messed up lungs or any other shock messages. All of you were wonderful. Here I was just sounding off, and so many people answered my ramblings with encouragement and stories of their own - successes and failures.

It is these kinds of things that make me realize I do have friends. Each time I am here to write a blog or read others, I am reaching people and they are reaching me. I can't get on here much because of my schedule, but what a great reassurance it is to know that when I do, some of you are here as well.

So thank you, to all of you, for letting me be a part of this community of friends.
