I am an artist.
That really shouldn't be a news flash since I have mentioned it before but I noticed a pattern, over the last year, of people avoiding me like the plague directly after I show some interest in using one of their pictures for a painting, especially if it's a picture of them.
They seem to think it's a declaration of love or some odd shite.
They should get a ___ life then!
Artists work and live and like and love by inspiration. If you inspire them, they will paint, sculpt, cook, or do whatever it is that they are inspired to do because of that inspiration. They may not even remotely like you, however; you have evoked emotional response and interest at some level: it could be love, yes, or it could be utter disgust and a wild urge to kick you every time you smile. It could be anywhere in between.
Don't be so conceited as to assume that just because a woman wants to paint your portrait it means she is actively pursuing you as her next husband. If that shite were true, I'd have been married to hundreds of people, including Marilyn Monroe : repeatedly.
