Let's waste our lives on bitterness, envy, grief giving, and spite Let's cause untold misery before we lay our heads down tonight When we read, let's read with suspicion, assuming all the worst Always assuming it's about us and that we've been insulted first Let's talk hypocritically of how no one should ever ever dare To take our insults personally or ever think that they should care For when we insult, lie, malign it's all in just good fun, can't you see? It's only when they do it back that it becomes in need of apology
...... there may be more later ..
Not sure yet. Sometimes I go back and decide that a blog needs a touch more of this or a touch less of that, to really get the meaning, and the reason for it's existence, to stand out.
Thank goodness that someone was so thoughtful as to provide an edit button for those of us who do not think our every word is written in stone because we are soooo perfect that we never need to edit a thing. I suppose for those persons it would be a lie to make a few simple changes so as to minimize what might be percieved as an insult or to maximize what might lead to understanding.
But for those of us with much less ego and much more love of writing than of controversy, how wonderful the edit button is!
And here I am editing again already lol :
I was just thinking, before I wrote this, how funny it is that there are so many people on here who insist they wouldn't read my "drivel" and that I have "nothing to say", etc. Yet when they post blogs about me, they always manage to mention things I have written.
And I was thinking how sad it is, these people who view but never comment, who can censure but not share, and who assume when I comment on their blogs or posts that it must be solely to irritate them.
The truth is, despite the fact that they are insulting and vindictive and.. whatever else they are ... some of them have good points, interesting stories, etc. And as we are all part of the same community, and that means that what we ignore or insult has a direct impact on the rest of the people here, it would be very silly of me to ignore them or pretend that they don't have valid points when they do.
So while they are out looking for causes of irritation, I am simply enjoying their commentary. And they think, funnily enough, that I'm the one that needs a change of attitude and a life!
Well, by the time I went to edit this, which was only a few seconds after having posted it, I saw that several persons who will probably never admit it, have already read it.
Here is what I say to them: I wrote some interesting story bits in earlier blogs. If you are not out to cause trouble for me or misery for yourself, why don't you ever read those? It would be much more positively entertaining for you! I certainly do enjoy your stories and rants. Why give yourself an ulcer? Just enjoy life!

OK, I admit, I read most of what you, and just about everyone else here, writes. but I will be honest, most of what I read from you is, subtle put-downs, critisisms, and being very defensive about others opinions or comments.
if you are not guilty of constantly stirring up a shit-pot, then why are you constantly defending your position, with the arrogance that everyone els is wrong?
what you say in one blog , oftn contradicts what you have written in others. is this creative writing?

lol Most of what I have written all told is stories and poems.
I am not constantly defending my position or even usually making comments about anyone or anything on MD at all.
That's my point.
It's like the old saying "If you go on a witch hunt, you are going to find a witch."
Which means, of course, that if no one finds it for real, they'll just make shite up to get the result that suits their current mood.
You were told what I am, by the things other people posted, so you read it based on the assumption that they are right. And if you read it, based on that assumption, then of course you can read into it whatever they want you to read. But if you read it as it was intended, without assuming I gave a flying rat's ass sideways what they think, most of them, and with assuming that I do have a sense of humor, you'd get very different results.
And I really do not care. I read their insulting little blogs and I feel sad for them and vaguely amused that they think it makes one iota of difference in my life. There are people I do care about on here and who I will ask about why they are acting a certain way. None of them are backstabbers, liars, or hypocritical bitches that can dish it out but can't take it, though.
You, personally, I could give or take, I like some of your opinions, but very few of your assumptions. I hope that wasn't too subtle for you!

thats fair. I think we all tend to make assumptions based on what we read. As for forming opinions about you, or anyone, I have never, nor will ever, base my opinion about someone, based on something someone else has said or written. I , like anyone, am guilty of ASSumption. I just think it is a shame to see such banter, from people, who otherwise have great talents. And this I get from what is written, not what someone has said.
