While I was out here in cyper space looking for Valentine's Day History (what can I say - that is where the curiosity took me!) Anyways, I came across what the different colors of roses mean.
To a lot of you this is probablty common sense, but I found it interesting and figured "hey, there might be some other people out here as uniformed as I"
So here it is: Roses: Making sure the color = the message
A red rose represents love, beauty, courage & respecy
A white rose is Purity and innocence; reverence and humility
A pink rose can cover appreciation, thanks-you, grace, happiness and admiration
A dark pink rose is appreciation, gratitude
A light pink rose is admiration, sympathy
Yellow roses show joy, gladness, friendship, delight, the promise of new beginnings
Orange roses are desire and enthusiasm
Red and white rose(s) together show unity
A red rosebud stands for purity and loveliness
A white rosebud is symbolic of childhood
And a thorness Rose? What else, but Love at first sight.
