This is a bit of a departure of what you'll normally see me cough up in the way of a blog, but it's early and I have a huge drive ahead of me. I'm up north and have to travel through Central California to the south, through land rumored to be thick with dragons and asian drivers.....just kidding....sorta.
A number of months ago, I became a member of MD out of boredom...something to just do. As I was posting, making a fool out of myself, I ran across a profile. The picture included on this profile threw me back a few fonts, leaving me breathless and babbling, well, more so than usual. I still can't spell her name, Sciuru..whatever..
I took a risk and starting conversing with this vision of beauty. Today, on this Valentines Day of 2007, the result of that risk is a gift and a blessing, for I have never in my life been happier.
Squirrel, you're a gift of unmeasurable worth to me, you've given me back what I thought lost. The emotions you stir in me can't be described in words, songs or poems. My soul understands though, the feeling I get every time I gaze upon your picture, hear your voice and feel your touch.....those feelings translated by way of magic.
So, I bare my soul...for all to see....this stupid silly man with a stocking on his head.

Whenever I read someone post something about meeting someone here and shouting to the rooftops that they're in L O V E, the cynic in me usually makes that "yeah right" face and counts the days until they are posting that it didn't work out.
HOWEVER, now and then, you get the chance to see a couple begin the dance here and you KNOW its right. With every reference to each other, you silently wish them well and HOPE that it is indeed MAGIC.
