Liz: No Way!!!
Ann: Yes Way, and did you hear he also lost his home, boat & Oh, that beautiful car!
Liz: No Way, he is such a nice guy and it seemed like he was doing so well. You know, John had just bought that duplex and car wash not 2 months ago.
Ann: Really? Well, it's gone now! It's all in foreclosure and he filed bankruptcy again. Isn't this the 2nd time he filed?
Liz: Maybe his 3rd!
Ann: Well, his credit is all screwed up now, I'll bet he can't even get a checking account. His wife left him too. Well can you blame her? How would he support her?
Liz: Especially with her lifestyle, Wow, what is he going to do now? What a Loser!!!
Ann: Ya, What a Loser!!!
(some time later)
Ann: Hay Liz, How have you been?
Liz: Not too bad, Hay have you heard about John?
Ann: Ya, Wow, Who would have thought?
Liz: Ya, Wow, Is there anything He doesn't own?
Ann: I don't think so. Boy, I wish I would have been a lot nicer to him when he was down and out!!
Liz: Ya, me too, I bet his ex wishes she would have too. WOW
Ann: Ya, WOW!!!
Sure John had his problems, He even filed bankruptcy 7 times before becoming one of the richest men in the world. John Paul Getty struggled, but never gave up.

People who have money always have "Fair Weather Friends", but who wants those kind of friends. I know, I even had a "Fair Weather Wife". I prefer friends who stick with you through the Good & Bad.

Good lesson for all of us concerning friendship. Friendship should always be unconditional. Great blog!

i completely agree with what you shared
thank you
if you will study the lives of successful people you will find that they failed much more than they succeeded, yet they never gave up

a number of years ago, long before American Idol, there was a talent contest and the first two singers eliminated from the competition as to having no hope for future music success were Elvis Presley and Wayne Newton
Elvis went on to become the King of Rock and Roll
and Wayne Newton signed a hundred million dollar contract for his nightly act in Vegas
I have looooooooooooooonged learned to NOT to listen to experts
if experts knew so much, then they would be successful

Good Blog.. As I find myself faced with momentous change that happened.. Not to my own doing but to a conflict in perception.. Smile.. I find that I too shall be faced with choices that may well be prosperous or on the flip side.. Well perhaps bankruptcy will be the choice of the hour.. Smile.. Ah well poor is alright if you have the skills to pull yourself out all over again....
PS I agree with the fair weather friend/spouse thing.. I do believe that a commitment is one that is not taken lightly, and commitment to another human who is also a spouse should be taken with the same weight as the bonds of parenthood... Alas though there are many who would throw their children to the lions as quick as they can... Smile....Or not smile..
