It isn't just about taking time to stop and smell the roses anymore! I thought this was a silly yet truthful subject that might bring a Monday morning smile on someone's face, if nothing else!!
I know this isn't a headline with a lot of finess, but you workaholics know what I am talking about. Maybe it would help in my case if the ladies room were upstairs but I have the habit of convincing myself "just finish one more thing...." before I head down stairs - which usually ends up being two or three things. I bet a lot of you know exactly what I mean.
I know that it isn't just me. My boss and I have discussed this very issue a time or two. (of course she is a lot less blunt than I and we do not use words like "Pee "
Have you ever walked right past the restroom, took care of business, got back to your office (or wherever) and thought, "I forgot to go to the ladies (or men's) room?"
What is that about? And I wish I could say it was just about work; but I find myself making a habit of this at home when I am working in the yard or on paperwork. I guess the realization was when my son and I went shopping last weekend. Not only did I tell him to remind me to stop in the restroom (which he didn't) but we spent 30 minutes or so in the store and were on our way to the restaurant for lunch before it even hit me that I still had to go to the restroom and I hadn'd done it yet.
So my son and I had an interesting talk about why some people are like that (he isn't) and the downfalls. I mean it can't be good for your kidneys so there is a health issue, and that just has to be TOO busy - you know?
I haven't written a blog in a while and keep telling myself I need to, so when my son and I were driving home and talking about bodily functions, I was of course thinking hmmm... Blog Material?
I hope you smiled a little and have a great Monday and week. Hopefully I will be back on soon

Guys can be guilty as well. I practically torture myself, at times, when I'm very busy and don't want to stop what I am doing. I am pretty bad about working through lunch at times. If I don't eat breakfast and do this, it can make for an irritable dude in the evening.

We shoud show this to all employers. They can determine the value of their employees by counting the trips to the bathroom. They will realize how dedicated their employees are!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious to know where you "took care of business" if you walked past the restroom.
