(James 1:13-15) 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

I'm not saying anything lol Not about to take credit for God's writing no matter how often I "plagiarize" it.

It is technically plagiarism since very few people actually credit the author, or the author, or even mention the compendium (ie: This is a quote from the Holy Scriptures with the permission of God and Jesus Christ, specifically it is from the book of James, Chapter 1: Verse 1)

Nope nobody ever does it.

Plagiarism then, like other things, is not all black and white. Except to psychotics.

Forgive my ignorance but how does that statement fit in with Job and other bible characters who were put under a trail test by God?

I think the Book of James has been edited out of some Bibles. That way no one has to read that faith without works is dead.

Forgive my ignorance but how does that statement fit in with Job and other bible characters who were put under a trail test by God?

Job was not being tried by God, though.. God was being tried by Satan and it says so clearly. For that matter, God is too being tried in a way:

The basic question is over right to rule During the "Hearing" three sides present their argument.

Satan has the opening, he raises the question and entices Man to follow and sell his offspring into death. Then he has the time to prove he is more of a fit ruler. That is why the Jews and later the spiritual Jews are referred to as such things as a remnant. They are a little group of persons whom God has chosen for himself, the rest of the world is given over to Satan and/or Mankind as they choose. That is all of them can equally choose to be with God, but God doesn't personally hand pick everyone .. only the remnant.

Jesus is sacrificed at which point he has given his flesh and blood for life and for those who would be his children (or in some cases his brothers) as Adam gave his flesh and blood for death. That is why he is needed to be born and sacrificed - a perfect male life for a perfect male life. As Adam put his soul in the hands of Satan and gave his flesh to him for his own selfish gain, so Jesus put his soul in the hands of God and gave his flesh over to him for his own unselfish giving.

Then comes the appointed time of the nations: the time in which mankind proves it is capable of ruling itself. There are no more astounding miracles.. there is mankind, it's machines, it's governments, and very little intervention from God.. unless he is asked and then it's for the individual who comes to him.

When that is over, which according to some it is over, then comes the time when Jesus takes his throne as the King, and he commences the work of judging .. and it moves into the appointed time of God wherein he will resurrect the dead and they will be taught, as well as those living will be taught, and there will be new scriptures, and a "new heaven" and "new earth" which in actual fact, by translation, are meaning a new government for each - a new way of living, new persons ruling, etc. Well, obviously not a new God, but .. you know ..

It is 1000 years of teaching and from there Satan is again released, the once more, so that by a fair and impartial trial all will be tried and it will be determined, once and for all, who is fit to rule mankind.

The only time I could say that God is known to have tested someone was in the case of Abraham and that was not evil, for he knew his intentions from the beginning, and he didn't make Abraham do anything .. except to prove that he would be willing to do for God what God intended to do for us all : give his son in sacrifice, with the knowledge that he would live again later.

The trials of Job were Satan implying that Man was incapable of any good thoughts or deeds, that they would never want to be ruled by God unless God was giving them everything. God did not tell Satan to try Job, he did withdraw that protection for a limited space of time. However, Job was God's servant and knew trials would come his way and he was rewarded afterwards.

God didn't start it, he didn't continue it, he didn't sanction it, and he is going to end it.

That is just sick!

But fortunately the book of James is not the only book that says it .. just the only one that uses those words.... I think.
