I was married for 22 years,my x was an excellent cook,I was not brave enough to ask her how to cook something,so I had my son pretent he wanted to know how. I salute women who take pride in their cooking, since my divorce not many women I have dated know how or want to cook, with a few exceptions. Of course what he did was wrong,so I don't blame you. sincerely, rob

If that's the worst thing that you've ever done to be a bitch, you're angelic.

I agree with redhod 100 percent.
Now, what time is dinner. I eat like a bird, and clean up my plate like a dog. So clean you can just put it back in the cubbord.

You could give her the recipes, but screw up the ingredients... Like a cup of salt instead of a tablespoon. Something like that...Just a thought...

I'm sure you could have come up with come recipes that called for high amounts of cayenne peppers. Curry recipes are sure to stink them out. There are other recipes that are very gaseous that would be a fun joke to play on them.

Funny how some ex's really enjoy the cooking but don't want the rest huh? My ex is an excellent cook so I don't have that problem.. however, while he was at my house this past week we argued over who should cook each meal.. I being the gracious person that I am.. allowed him to cook almost every meal! I wouldn't share the recipes either...

I don't feel you were obligated to give your recipes to him or her. I believe people should show respect for their ex-spouses as much as possible. But I don't feel this is a case where you needed to share your recipies with them. That is not something that is necessary for their survival. And please, this does not make you a bitch.

My ex husband recently brought me over a piece of his moms homemade blueberry pie, its my absolute favorite thing she makes, when he went to give it to me, I said you didn't do anything to it did you? LOL. I trust he didn't

Hurray 4 u ... What i would have thought about doing would be to say OK, and alterd the recipies by switching spices &/or subtracting or adding powders & liguids. HeHe

as for changing measurements impossible as i never measure anything unless i'm baking i just add whatever untill it looks right You could always leave something out some little thing that really makes it just right. Or maybe change something to something diffrent. Like sugar for salt or backing soda for backing powder just something little that would really blow the taste.

That is why I learned to cook for my self and I keep the recipes in my head where they can't get them. My ex's have tried to. I cook everything from scratch.

Helen, did you tell him they would not be the same even if you did give her the recipes...That little bit of you, that you added with love would not be there...I know my daughter tries my recipes but my grands prefer for me to cook...Now why is that I wonder?

I'm sure they have a book out called Cooking for Dummies. Send that to them for an early christmas gift. It's not being mean, but it should get your point across.
Either that, or give them a can of spam. I've heard there's hundreds of dishes you can make with spam. (gross). hahah.
