It is with deep regret that I must inform you all of a most precipitous event.
Sanjaya has been voted OFF of American Idol.
We now return you to your regularly-expected enjoyment of the show.
Seriously, I am so relieved by this. I was hard-pressed to imagine that last night's performance could earn the boy anything but the boot and I am now feeling a bit more reassurance that the American public, or at least those 38,000,000-odd folks who tune into this insanely addictive and manic bit of broadcasting, have at least a modicum of understanding what this is supposed to be about.
I had to laugh when the seven contestants had been put into two groups of three, and Melinda, number seven, was asked to step over the group she felt was going to be staying. I turned to PMF and said, "Oh, that is SO mean! If that were me, I'd just sit down right in the middle and to hell with it!" and, as I looked back at the television, bless her sweet soul, that is exactly what Melinda did.
Things can't help but really heat up now. I don't think any of the men except Phil have an honest chance of staying past next week, and the end should be a wonderful fight between the women, but, like all things in life, I guess we'll just have to wait and see, eh?

FINALLY!
I think I've decided to vote for Jordin here on out. I've been hard pressed on choosing a favorite this year. I think she sings well....she's young....she has a "look." Yep, Jordin it is.......and here's to hoping the next A.I. season is better!

My only problem was that Chris and Phil were not in the bottom three.
Lakisha and Blake?
So America is not COMPLETELY stupid (as evidenced by their ousting of Sanjizzum), but I'm still worried.

Finally... no more listening to them and having to almost cringe and hold your ears when Sanjaya was up for his turn... Now maybe it will get interesting and se what America thinks now.. Hope PMF wasn't too dissapointed . Thanks sci..........

I told my boyfriend that now I don't have anyone to make fun of.
As long as Melinda wins the whole thing, I could care less about the order in which the other people go home.
Have you all been to the votefortheworst website? I love that place

I was worried about Lakisha tonight. I think that the three women are drawing from the same pool of voters. Whew! I was so relieved to see Sanjaya go.
I thought Chris should have been over there with him. I like Blake among the men as I think he has proven to be versatile in all genre, where some of the top singers have had problems really relating well the last two weeks. Phil should be gone, but I'm glad he was still in for country week as he really did do well.

Your writing style reminds me of the great English writer Barbara Cartland. Keep up the good work reporting back on TV programmes. I am so glad someone out there is able understand the deeper intentions of such an intellectually challenging and worthy show. I can feel the tension oozing through now that I realise whats really going on.

Unfortunately for us he will find a way to be right back in-our-faces one way or another. The conspiracy that kept him there that long is meeting even now - planning their next move. Personally?

howard stern was broadcasting to get everyone to vote for this boy who should NOT have even made it to the final 24 in order to mess up the competition
Melinda is in a league of her own
