The question (not quoted in exactness) was : What kind of Angel would you choose to be and why?
This was my reply, which I share with you as well, for others of us have had words related to this sort of subject before (not arguments, just words):
I would not choose to be an angel, except perhaps by strictest interpretation of function: a messenger of God.
Because Angels are a different life form, a different race, with different needs .. as I told Jehovah, long ago, I don't want to live in Heaven and it makes no sense to me that he'd have created the trees, the sky, the flowers, the birds, etc. if it was all to be so quickly given up to a different form of existence.
That is what led me to some beliefs which, as it turns out, are also the beliefs of Judaism and of Jehovah's Witnesses .. because it struck me at one point when I was praying about it, and crying, and telling God how very much it did not make sense, that .. it really did not make sense! That's why I couldn't find my way to understanding or accepting that "we all end up in heaven" philosophy: it makes no sense at all.
Then later I found out that the Jews never thought it was true, never believed that salvation meant to be transported to heaven and live there. . and that Paradise does not refer to heaven, but to a garden like state of Earth. And that what Jesus promised his Apostles was something for that select group .. but what he promised the man dying beside him was something else .. and that the people he speaks of at the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount are not all the same people.. the meek shall inherit the earth .. the peaceable will be Sons of God. See?
And I came to know that the demons used to be angels .. they are of the same race, they were of the same functions . . but we are not. Certain ones of us will go and rule with Jesus but for the rest of us, we attain to live by God's original purpose .. in a garden, a paradise: the subdued Earth.
